Those are big DLs for your weight! Awesome.
There’s no such thing as a too-slow rep if you eventually lock it out.
Thanks strong lady. Since I have had back issues in the past, I find that I spend about half of my mental energy doing a systems check during the lift to make sure nothing is about to break. If I was just focusing on lifting I’m sure I would do better.
Also, knee sleeves during deads are a bad idea for me. They make my knees all nice and warm but the bar gets hung up on the material. I lift better if the bar is in contact all through the lift.
315 x 5
365 x 3
405 x 4…same as last time but last rep went up quicker
425 x 1…slow rep. Too slow.
315 x 5,5
Goblet squats (hams to calves)

Damn brother! Great pulls. I’m w/Snap, as long as you locked it out does it really matter how long it took for you to get it up?
^Yes, I do see the pun in there & I will still hit submit.
Git, what do you make of those goblet squats? You like’em? You get anything out of them?
Hey, this is the over 35 section…that shit is real sometimes
For sumo deads, it seems to me that front squats / goblets are very similar to the sumo starting position (chest high, back arched). I take a fairly wide stance.
I can tell that the limitation for me in moving my DL number up is going to be that initial leg drive to start the lift.
If I had a little more steam I probably would have done front squats. I did goblets instead with a 3 sec pause at bottom. Plus they are very low back friendly.
are you all st up at home now? I recall a few deals you were eyeing…
Not quite. I’m picking up the gear tomorrow. So, I should be set up in a couple days.
I is excited! And also a bit apprehensive about reorganizing my training plan.
Quite honestly, I think sumo pulling is harder than conventional. And I can’t do it well. So I have to taunt others to feel okay about myself. Does that make me an aggressive bully? Hopefully, everyone recognizes the humor in my posts. It would help if I used emoticons, but they’re just not my style.
If you met me in person, Print, you would have a good laugh. I’m such a harmless one and really pretty shy about anything personal. It’s easy to have a different persona online.
^I’m just giving you a hard time Snap. Bet you are as sweet as pumpkin pie. I think you’re pretty much as adorable as they come. I completely understand about the shy persona. Though I know that will be hard to for anyone in here to believe.

Please explain to me what goblet squats are…I have never heard of them ever.
This would be almost an exact replica of how I do them…without my heels raised, with less weight, and for fewer reps and not shitting out my pancreas at the end.

I fast forwarded the vid to see what “shitting the pancreas” meant .
HAHA! I did the same and shitting out his pancreas is the perfect description. Hilarious.
Thanks Git! I’m going to put these in my routine. Looks like the perfect move for me to learn how to squat between my heels and a nice transition for my front squattin’.
