Sounds like your weekend was a blast and I am green with envy about your soon to be having 800lbs worth of weights.

Also that shake sounded like a hell of a lot to drink after lifting. Theres no way I’m drinking eggs. I’d use gear first.
Just to be clear, that pail o’ eggs and stuff was Print’s. I can’t get past raw eggs. I don’t know how he gets all that down.
It’s not so bad. I’m used to it. Can’t even taste the eggs. Though some days it’s best to steer clear of me.

Quick executive update on my weekend:

Scored ZERO free exercise gear.
Did not drop any appliances, nor nearly get killed by a runaway freezer.
Skipped the Bucket-O-Chow post-workout drink; in fact, so sick to my stomach that I skipped dinner entirely.

I’m clearly not up to the Manly Man level that most of you are

Sounds like you had a good time all around. Best of luck with relaxing at work.
Yes, work was NOT relaxing. Too much going on to eat much or train.

The free gear was hit and miss. The punching bags were a score but the rest was crap.

However, I do expect to take ownership of the power rack, 900lbs of weights, 2 benches, bars, etc. on the weekend. He even has mirrors so i can check out mah gunz, lol. I haven’t seen the stuff yet. He says it is in “very good” condition. We’ll see.

Can’t wait to hear about the new acquisitions, I’m guessing pretty good condition on a power rack is fine, it’s a big hunk of metal that’s supposed to be hard to dent. Who cares if it’s pretty?

new set sounds fab!!

Print’s shake would turn me into a nasty gas parade. tried 1-2 raw eggs a few years back and husband said I broke records!! can’t imagine 10.

sliding down the stairs on top of freezer is much win. You have ninja genes.

^Don’t hate on good digestive tracks…ha!

no joke Print - I was gassing up the bedroom so bad during my sleep it woke the husband up and he was pissed!!! (he never gets pissed. think of a rock suddenly getting angry) I grabbed my stuff and went to bed on the sofa and that was the end of raw eggs for me.

Print needs to start a log.

^Ok Ok Ok… Look for it in the PW forums. You happy now Snap? I’ve kinda made Gits log my second home huh?

I’ve got some press training for the rest of the week, so my wt training is sketchy at best. However once through this barrage of info, I will try to take the time to start one.

EDIT/Confession- I usually don’t read what Snap posts, I am just enamored w/the profile pic. I love that hat!

You hang around here as much as you want my friend.

Cycle 6, Week 2
Squats (knee sleeves)
225 x 5
265 x 5
300 x 5

 • My desk job is fucking with my hip flexors. I’ll just keep stretching them.
 • And a meeting screwed with my eating schedule so had my mid-morning shake too close to training = bloated and kinda pukey.
 • I notice that I am much stronger if I look down at the floor about 6 feet in front of me compared to looking straight ahead or up. Feels like more hips and less quads.

Front squat
135 x 3
155 x 3
175 x 3
185 x 3
205 x 3
225 x 2

Thanks PAL!

Are you looking down while squatting? Hmm interesting. I always find myself looking up a bit.

I see I’m not the only one doing squats and front squats on the same day.

Yeah, I would say I feel strongest in the squat with my head in this position. But I do try and get my elbows under the bar more.

I’ve settled on front squats as the best accessory lift for me.

I never got much out of leg press or extensions.
Leg curl actually does me some good.
Walking lunges are interesting from a coordination, balance and overall suckage aspect. And they kill my ass and hams.
Other single leg stuff I flat out hate even though it might be good for me.

giterdone, I’m really glad you survived the weekend!

Walking lunges are the devil, and hurt my ass worse than anything. I’ll only do them if forced.

Hooked up the washer last night, the one that landed on the ground, and it worked fine. I was NOT looking forward to taking that thing back up the stairs.

3/5/1
Cycle 6, Week 3
OHP
115 x 5
135 x 3
145 x 4
adding in some lower rep work
155 x 2
165 x 1…sadly, this is the most weight I have had over my head.
115 x 10,10,8

Seated Hammer Strength OHP
5 sets of 3 ramped
1 set of 8

3/5/1 week 3
Deads

315 x 5
365 x 3
405 x 4…same as last time but last rep went up quicker
425 x 1…slow rep. Too slow.
315 x 5,5

Goblet squats (hams to calves)
100lb DB
3 x 8

Those are big DLs for your weight! Awesome.

There’s no such thing as a too-slow rep if you eventually lock it out.

Damn brother! Great pulls. I’m w/Snap, as long as you locked it out does it really matter how long it took for you to get it up?

^Yes, I do see the pun in there & I will still hit submit.

Git, what do you make of those goblet squats? You like’em? You get anything out of them?
