Look Strong, Be Strong

Did a tally of a typical day. Some will be less. Few would be more.
calories = 3400
carbs = 295g
protein = 270g
fat = 165g

Keep in mind that lately (last 3 months) I’ve been doing ZERO cardio. Some scheduling related. Mostly lazy.
Yes Kimba, I know. I know…I’m starting tomorrow. Or the next day. For sure.[/quote]

Okay you are taking in about 800 to 1,000 calories more than I am so thats why it sounds like a lot. That many carbs would make me bloat like a pig with an eating disorder.

You have a 3400 calorie shake? Is it in a bucket?

Actually, 2lbs in 3 weeks is a decent pace to add some muscle and keep from getting to much of the fatz. That would be over 30lbs in a year.

I might try and rebalance a bit and drop some carbs, add some protein.
I forgot to add the glass or two of wine with dinner.

Ok, you ready?

32oz of whole milk
10 eggs
2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream
3 tablespoons of olive oil
2 scoops surge recovery
2 scoops whey

Some days I add a banana or peanut butter.

Good point on the 30lbs a yr. Didn’t look that far in advance.

Son of a bitch. What else do you eat during the day?

Matt Andersen is a nice, polite Maritime boy (that means the Eastern side of Canada) and he can fucking sing and play. Not going to follow his diet advice, lol, but damn he’s got the blues figured out.

3400 calories plus no cardio? And not catching the fatz? That’s a nice life you’ve got goin’ on. I eat about 1800 calories on average and ride my bicycle a couple times a week. So not fair…

Yeah, well your definition of fatz might be a little tighter than mine (or the rest of the planet)…and I mean that in the most complimentary way :slight_smile:

Now that some weight is starting to go on I’m going to add in some cardio. Plus I have kids to keep up with (show who is boss).

ummmm - good luck with that!

Usually have 2 pop tarts as a morning snack, lunch, aft snack which is usually a banana & nuts, than dinner. I really don’t know what my totals are for the day. I just try & eat as much as possible. Though some of it is dirty eating.

Nothin’ wrong with a little dirty my friend.

My weekend:

  • home from work Friday, my boy jumps in car and we head to soccer practice
  • get home wife informs me clothes washer died
  • pour drink
  • go on internet, find a used replacement for cheap
  • while I’m on internet post “Wanted power rack etc. etc., will pay fair price blah blah”
  • Saturday soccer practice…boys not paying attention, they do many pushups
  • Sunday soccer soccer game …boy plays awesome with his new keeper pants
  • go to pick up used clothes washer on way home
  • make it up the stairs
  • get to my vehicle…dufus husband drops his end and washer lands on ground, cuts hand, lays flat on ground holding his back, wife yelling at him “why didn’t you get help”
  • me…“so, what’s your new price?”…big discount
  • get washer home, enlist neighbor to help bring old washer upstairs and new washer downstairs
  • wife says “while you’re at it, can you mmove the freezer from downstairs to garage?”
  • uh, sure
  • get freezer to top of stairs, neighbor loses grip on dolly, freezer comes at me fast as I am on the bottom on the stairs, jump on freezer and ride it down the stairs like an amusement ride…nothing broken on me
  • few dents on freezer, and carpet torn, neighbor apologizes, I laugh
  • change tactics and take freezer out back door and around house to garage
  • get response on internet wanted add - guy has power rack, 600lbs York weights, bars, 300 lbs weights for DB, DB handles, plate racks etc. and will deliver. selling for good price so I say yes.
  • get email from another guy 5 mins from my house giving away FOR FREE 500lbs, several bars, 2 punching bags and a "universal gym…not sure what that is yet…and says we can use his truck
  • checking out the free gear tonight

Love the weekend update “executive version”

Free stuff! Take it - take it allll!

I forgot your kid was a keeper. That is the absolute toughest position EVER! And I find that goalies are the most fun (and possibly nuttiest) people alive. The best to have a parties for obvious reasons.

UGH! I hate you boys for struggling to put on weight. If I were a dude I’d be fucking gigantic! GIGANTIC I tell ya! Alas, everything in moderation for this lil one.

Oh and great training! That some serious pressing.

I asked him if he wanted to play out sometimes rather than in goal for the full game. He said “yes” but it was more important to him that his team won. Proud dad :slight_smile:
He gets lots of practice time in other positions so I’m not too concerned that he is getting too narrow, too soon.

At keeper practice he got a stiff shot to the face that he had to shake off. Coach told him his nose has been broken 7 times…that made me kinda go, hmmmmm.

I often see people putting ads asking for free stuff. I thought it was ridiculous which is why I said I would pay. Apparently people give stuff away just to get it out of the way.
I would like to have a pickup truck…for free…maybe I should put in an ad

Okay soccer, thats the Canadian sport with penguins right?

Sounds like your weekend was a blast and I am green with envy about your soon to be having 800lbs worth of weights.

Also that shake sounded like a hell of a lot to drink after lifting. Theres no way I’m drinking eggs. I’d use gear first.

DAMN son! You had yourself a weekend. You go back to work, to get a break from it all.

Tell your kid to move up to the forward or wing spot. Once he feels what it is like to score… He won’t go back. Though I will admit, I did enjoy my brief time as keeper.

Quick executive update on my weekend:

Scored ZERO free exercise gear.
Did not drop any appliances, nor nearly get killed by a runaway freezer.
Skipped the Bucket-O-Chow post-workout drink; in fact, so sick to my stomach that I skipped dinner entirely.

I’m clearly not up to the Manly Man level that most of you are :wink:

Sounds like you had a good time all around. Best of luck with relaxing at work.

Just to be clear, that pail o’ eggs and stuff was Print’s. I can’t get past raw eggs. I don’t know how he gets all that down.

He does like to score and is pretty comfortable in a mid-fielder role. Great little set up man for the striker. We’ll see how he likes it as the years progress.
I’ll encourage him to stick with it if only for the hot soccer chicks with the great legs (paging Maschy)
