Limp Handshakes

I hate shaking hands with women. It’s one of the world’s greatest moral dilemmas. Shake a hair too hard, and they think you’re trying to intimidate them with your manliness, and hate you for it. Slightest bit to softly, and it’s all “Whhhaaaa he looks so manly but he shakes like a bitch”, and you will never have her respect.

Except women who lifts weights. You can shake their’s just like a guy’s hand.
But notice…they judge all of this from a handshake.

That is something ONLY women would do. If I shake your hand softly…that shouldn’t mean anything but that I shook your hand softly.

If I shook their hand like I do people I train with, their arm would fall off.

There was a guy I used to work with who used to complain about limp handshakes and how you had to show dominance. He also went on antidepressants and became extremely arrogant. I think the limp hand shakers are most likely more secure in themselves and don’t have to dominate you in any way. But very limp is annoying too.

Limp and overly hard are just as bad.
Look the (wo)man in eye, and shake their hand firmly. That’s it. It ain’t hard.

WTF, X, this is TWO PAGES of men griping about other men’s too-weak or too-hard grips! Only women my ass.

That said, I agree with this:

100%. If you can pick an orange up without dropping it or popping it you can shake my hand with a firm but gentle grip. I will respond in kind.

I don’t like when men try to show their dominance by offering their hand turned over like they are palming a basketball.
I just turn it to have thumbs up. But find the display obnoxious.

limp handshakes don’t think one way or the other, what I dislike is when you get the clown who grabs your hand wrong so the can get the upper hand and you don’t get a grip hate that.

I have never seen this. Hahahahahaahah I’m not quite sure how I would even respond. It almost sound like when a team does the Hands In after the coach completes the huddle.

Shaking a woman’s hand is not that difficult. And if you do it right (depending on whether or not you want to) it can actually peak her curiosity about just how good you are with those hands. I have had 3 separate instances where I was introduced to a girl and shook her hand, only to have her make some remark about how I have “soft hands and a firm grip”. Which then usually leads to conversing about my freakishly soft hands even though I have callouses, a little giving her my hand to feel how soft, talking, back rub, sexy time. All because of a well executed handshake ice breaker.

Agreed, this is really stupid. If you time it right though you can usually flip their hand to a normal thumbs up position before they realize it so there is no weird struggle.

I always try to destroy the other dudes hand though. I love the little “holy shit dude” way they tear up. Its adorable. I think it sets the tone for dominance in the new relationship if we are talking about first time meetings. Ive had bosses ho were assholes to everyone else submit to me…i believe that first handshake was the reason
lol

Maybe because I am bigger than a lot of people but just relying on dominance in the handshake is like just relying on your big dick to please a woman. Sure it may rock the boat but is that all?
Its the first chance. I dont rely on a handshake but it sets a good tone. Clear voice plus eye contact plus deathgrip always sets the tone.

Of course it takes me work than a handshake for most people.

My first suit and tie job, which at 21 would be the entry into my now career years later, conducted and entire 4 hour class dedicated to shaking hands. It was mandatory and sought to teach people how to shake hands. The shit got seriously technical with it and being that I was one of maybe four or five men in a class full of women (I work in finance) I got an inside view of this shit. Apparently, women don’t go to shake hands…they offer they’re hand to you as if you were going to kiss it. Old school. So, since then my assumption of a guy who simply, “offers” you their hand, is one of two things: he’s soft and is submitting to your dominance or he’s gay and wants to sleep with you.

That theory has yet to fail me.

Hey the security guard who Jedi’d me and makes me shake his hand was doing something so I left unscathed. tomorrow I will see If my hand smells like piss after I shake his hand

I like to go in for a normal handshake then throw my thumb into my palm before they grab my hand. I casually just shake and look at them like nothings wrong and they tend to look either really confused or uncomfortable.

As a knife collector I see it as they are showing me they have no sword, so I stab them.

Serious, was that class in Japan? Wow 4hrs.

Beat him to the punch. Piss on YOUR hand before you go see him and make sure it’s still wet. He’ll think you have sweaty palms.

Well now I am avoiding him, I did it twice this morning with a simple wave…BUT I PROMISE, I will make him shake my hand when I leave, now Beach Guy’s suggestion of pissing on my hand is a good one, but I cant promise that I will do it.

That may be true, but ultimately it reflects negatively upon you.

Edit: And I don’t think it’s only something women do, especially when it it comes to potential employers / business partners.
