ROM restrictions bite ass. Good to see you lifting in spite of the crap attempting to hold you back.
Thanks GV…
Got the authorization for the Myleogram, a little bit of advice for you guys who ever have to get this done…DO NOT RESEARCH THE INTERWEBZ…I am now terrified of what I am going to have to endure lol.

But you are tougher than them. Most of the people that have a lot of trouble recovering are the people that had a lot of trouble getting out of their easy chair to walk to the fridge before they needed surgery.

pulling 5x5 with 405 is pretty serious work for running on fumes Matty.
The lack of sleep may be the downfall of us all. Great work in spite of the loss of snores.
Thanks guys, I took longer rest periods than usual which got me through it. Though not heavy weight, I rarely have done 5 rep sets of deads lately so it go to me.
Because of lack of grip and lack of concentration on my pulls, my form is all out of whack, no hip drive, bar was drifting. Gotta hammer in form, unfortunately right now I have limiting factors.
Matty,
I am of course late on the surgery news, but that’s pretty awesome, it is exactly like one of my surgeries as well so since anecdotal evidence is always the best (right?) I can pretty much assume that you will be crushing weights by St. Patty’s Day. I was back in the gym less than a month after my first back surgery and it was a revelation (being relatively pain free that is) you will be astonished by the difference. As for the Spinal Tap I didn’t really see a difference pain wise between that and say a Nerve Block so it’s not really anything to stress over. Congrats.
Thanks Bri…
I am happy about the less invasive of the surgery, and very happy that a guy who is a shit ton stronger than me was hitting the gym less than a month after the surgery! This nerve block that you speak of, is it similar to the epidural I received in the neck a few months ago, they injected shit into me that day as well and felt nothing…if thats the case I am very optimistic
Today…

Do the heavy face pulls pay off? I’ve been doing sets of 25 with my green band before and after I lift plus just about when ever I go into the garage and it seem they help me recover faster and get warmed up well in the upper back and shoulders.

I really believe they do, highish rep high weight with using varyinh angles have really helped my rear delts and lower traps.
Good to know.
Today…
Hang Cleans - 90x10 135x10 155x10 160x5 175x5 185x3 205x3
Clean and Press - 135x2x5
I really like the hang cleans, my form is shit, and I know this, but I have been you tubing the shit out of hang clean tutorials and today when I concentrated on form it looked better, its that stomp thing I have issues with.
Chins - 50 total BW reps…then +25x3x3 +45x3
I didnt go over 5-7 reps per set on these, because of my injury when I start to struggle I overcompensate with my right arm, so when I start to tire which is generally at the 5, 6 or 7th rep.
A1 - DB Laterals 35x3x20
A2 - Svend Press - 30x3x12
B1 - Band Front Raise - 3x15
B2 - Svend Press - 30x3x12
Band Pushdowns and plate curls
Lots of good work in here, I don’t go over 5-7 reps per set on chins cause that’s the most I can do per set! Strong chins
Thanks Scotto!
I kind of pride myself on doing chins because I am relatively heavy, so stopping at 5 kind of sucks but it avoids straining…
Today
Squat - 350x5x5
