Solid work Matt. That is a lot of volume.

So does the squat hurt your neck, or are you just powering through it because it is just pain not actual nerves being pinched off so they don’t work? Solid is putting it mildly…[/quote]
Thanks Bro! I generally place the bar on the lower portion of my traps and try to pinch my shoulder blades back, so the weight is not on the affected area…at least thats my justification!

Thanks Crippler! I am a bit of a volume whore lol
Yesterday…
Light Incline bench…oddly the wider I go the less pain I feel on these, but pain is evident no matter what grip…so I kept it real light.

Well today went to the Hospital for Joint Disease, NYU Medical Center and met with the surgeon who will be performing the surgery. Went through a very thorough consultation, at the end I felt very confident. The original option that I had in my head and what my local Ortho advised of was ACDF surgery, which is spinal fusion, my Surgeon advised of a less invasive option. Before that I saw the issues C4 - C5 , C5 - C6 are the main culprit and finally saw the damage with my own 2 eyes as we went over the CT imaging film. Very Compressed to say the least especially in relation to the other discs, also Bone spurs pinching the spinal canal. Even to the untrained eye, it looked fucked up!
The good news is he offered the option of what is called a Cervical Lamino-Foraminotomy…it requires no fusion is done through the posterior of the neck…and recovery time is only 2-3 weeks! Needless to say I am very happy about this option. He did advise while the success rate is excellent, it I were to fuck up my neck again, ACDF surgery is the only option.
Next step before surgery in January is a Myelogram…
I then went to the gym…hey the damage is already done lol!
Leg Ext - 4x20

That is fantastic news, a real early Christmas present. Just ask him if it is OK to do bridge presses in February. ![]()
Good luck to hear on the less invasive surgery. Worst part is going to be the spinal tap by far (myelogram)

I already asked him…its ok, just no suspension bridges!
That is great fucking news. I am so glad to hear it.
Thanks Jack…I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! I wish I could do the effing surgery tomorrow.
Congratulations on the less invasive surgery. Great to see you will recover so quickly.
Thanks GV…

Thanks Git…
I can absolutely point out to the day, June 29, 2013. My first squat attempt on my last meet, I felt something pop…got an insane headache…it was all downhill from there.

Today…
Solid
Squat - 275,315,320,335,365 x4
Pause Squat - 315x3 225x5 135x10
A1 - Snatch Grip High Pull - 135,155,185 x4 205 x4 x4
A2 - Weighted Chins - 0x5 25x4x5 0x5
Floor Press 4x15 SS Face Pull

A2 - CS DB ROW - 30x20 50x20 70x15,20 100x10
Its such an odd feeling…I attempted to press the 100lb DBs, felt so light, but my left arm will not allow me too, like there is a blockage just stopping it. Its an off feeling, no pain, no nothing…just zero strength.
Pendlay Row - 135x10 185x10 205x10 225x5 245x5 - Oddly getting shitty at these as well.
B1 - Meadows 6 way - 10x10 15x10 20x5 15x5 10x5
B2 - Band Front Raise - 3x10
C1 - Svend Press - 30 (3 dimes) x4 x20
C2 - Supinated Curl - Using 25lbs plate x 15
