Lifting in a Rams Head

I’d be curious to find out what the recovery length is and the PT work it involves. The overall recovery may take less time than the more natural rehabbing. I’m guessing that either route is probably quite lengthy.

That super hero complex is cray- I was actually reading about it last week
and watched a video of CT doing it with some goon.

sorry to hear about your neck bro
You know I’ve been struggling with similar shit for ages

what is your posture like when you sleep?
getting a good pillow and sleeping with neutral spine has helped me very much

Sounds like your at the right place now, hopefully you can work around rather than having to go the surgery route. Good luck brother.

Remember Heavythrower? He had successful neck surgery and came back lifting. One of his last posts he trap bar deadlifted over 500 lbs. (page 4 of over 35 lifters). Proof it can be done. You may not be from NH but you’re still a tough SOB.

Thanks GV…I agree, I bet if I just sat home and ate bon bons all day, I would never go through this, but its par for the course.

Im hoping that if surgery comes to be the best option that I can get the least invasive (or is it evasive) surgery where the rehab isnt super lengthy

This means alot coming from you brother, thank you very much

Went to another pain management doc last night, I will be choosing to get an epidural in my neck with xray ink. not sure when still needs approval. Hopefully with this and rehab surgery can be avoided. This is my last gasp. I was happy that the doc was not one of those…“stop weight lifting types” who drive me crazy, he understood that it is a pursuit of mine and “what I do” so to speak and he dabbles in it as well. A young Indian guy, very personable and gave me some hope.

Neurosurgeon appt next week.

I must say theres been a lot of bitching and moaning in my log as of late…I apologize I am a fucking baby

You’ve been hammering the weights like a stud, I didn’t see any whining. In fact you won’t even update us about your neck unless we nag…

Good luck with the neck.

Dude it is really tough in a commercial gym, and honestly right now my “cardio” isnt there where I could effectively do it…

I am looking into the pillow thing, been relegated to sleeping on my back which I hate.

I wish you well, but I don’t think I can stop in here anymore as long as you have that avatar. It’s just too disturbing.

You just have to hold your thumb in the right place in front of the screen and the avatar is totally hot!

Keep up the lifting.
