Lifting in a Rams Head

Most of us here have the bug, the iron bug. It creeps and crawls in to your blood and then its insidious tentacles attach themselves, forever, to your heart and mind. Time under weight is a meditation of will that cannot be replaced easily. Energy to you for healing and hefting.

Sorry to read about your pain and suffering and fully respect your comments about what this means to you…and I agree…we all need that place to go to catch our breath from “real” life and for most here its the iron… Things will improve![/quote]

Just catching up on this Matty. How are you feeling? Pinched nerve maybe?

Shit Matty that sounds just like that pinched nerve I had a while back. hope it clears up quick.

Hey bro, thanks for stopping by, actually C4 C5 and C6 is herniated and been dealing with it since my last meet in July, pushing strength is totally shot. Currently been trying to rehab it and just purchased an inversion table.

I can fly out, whack you neck with a sledge hammer a few times and wrap it in duct tape for a recovery brace. Never know, it may work. This is usually how I fix things.

Worthy work my friend.

If it works your going home first class!

Thanks GV…

Long talk with my pain management doc yesterday, he preached patience and confidence it his methods. He is against surgery, I am going to be more aggressive with the accupuncture trying to get it done twice weekly. I believe it helps. Also got a script for a Tens unit which is covered by my insurance, gonna pick it up this week. Also purchased an inversion table which should also come this week.

Today…

Squats - up to 355x3 Dropped 315x5 225x10 135 against light bands x 20
Snatch Grip HP - Up to 225x5 then 135x10
Chins - 0x10 25x5 45x3 0x2x10
Flys SS with Band Pushdowns

Recovery is the key and it looks like you have some good tools to getting there. Jealous that you got insurance to get the Tens unit.

Man I feel dumb asking but what is a Tens unit?

I was just about to ask the same thing. Sounds like you have a good plan in place. Nice work on those squats and chins btw!

Its that electrode thingy majiggy…I had no idea that was the name of it either

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS)

Today…

DL up to 455x3 drop set 405x5
Pendlays - up to 245x5 drop set 185x20
Face Pull - 95x4x20
Floor Press - (weight really inconsequential lol)

DL is looking good and I have to find a way to incorporate face pulls. All you guys doing them is shaming me.
