Thanks Dave…felt good today
Great squats, low and looked easy. BTW, there’s an unwritten rule that once you start doing reps with over 400 someone has to wrap your knees for you.

hit a snag in recovery, somethings not right. radiating pain down my arm and shoulder, limited mobility in neck and major tingling in three fingers
Hopefully just a minor bump in the road to recovery. You have been doing a lot of heavy work while recovering, may just have to back off a little on both volume and numbers for a while.
Good luck my friend.
Thanks Dave…Im nervous at least before there wasnt pain per se, but this fucking hurts. Im aggravated and people around me and not my friends on the net like you and others can really understand that I will be a raging asshole if I cant do any training. I know this isnt my livlihood, but it is admittedly a big part of my life. Taking at least 3 days off, hopefully getting some acupuncture and other ideas tomorrow.

I hear you. Hopefully the acupuncture helps. As long as your doing movements that don’t cause you pain I’m guessing you don’t need to stop entirely maybe just turn it down a couple notches.
Going without training kills me also but you don’t want to really fuck yourself up and have to take a long forced rest. Keep us posted, I’m worried about you brother.
Joints, nerves, and nagging injuries suck balls. Sorry to here it. Have you tried ART? I haven’t tried it personally, but it seems like a lot of PL’ers on here have used it with good results.
I’m sure you must be very very frustrated, but yeah you’ll only be angrier if you create any long term issues. Does the acupuncture work for you? I’ve been getting it on & off for decades and have mixed feelings depending on what needs to be fixed. I’ve heard great things about ART though.
Empathy for you bro. Hate it when training is derailed by anything especially some crappy injury or trauma. Rest and come back to kick ass.
Hey guys and gal, thanks for the well wishes…
I have been taking it easy somewhat this week, going to the gym, but the discomfort is incredibly annoying, so I do what I could do w/o any pain or discomfort.
The past few days I did some floor presses, very light up to about 205, Flat bench up to 185, Face Pulls, Pendlays oddly I can go heavy w/o issues. I tend to keep my pendlays very strict so for instance I went to 245 for 10 and it felt good.
I cant squat the pressure it puts on my back/neck area makes it very uncomfortable. Pretty upset at this because it is the one thing that I THOUGHT I could continue but now have to scale that back. I did about 300 body weight squats today SS with banded leg curls…meh
I did pull up to 425x3 it felt ok, but I know not to go crazy.
This injury stuff has made me reflect on how much this weight lifting shit means to me, not to sound corny but Im sure you guys understand I cant just stop, take it easy, its not me, not with this (with work and paying bills thats another story lol). We all need something therapeutic something that you take pride in and something that kind of makes you feel whole, this is my selfish time and my body is betraying me. This is very difficult for me. Im hoping something gives soon, because in actuality I have been dealing with this since July.
Hang in there Matty. You’ll make it back soon enough. WNPF in Paramus is 6 months away…plenty of time to come back stronger.
Sorry to hear it Matty. It doesn’t sound corny at all. I haven’t been doing it that long and it irritates the hell out of me every time I miss a session. It’s absolutely therapeutic and I’m really hoping something in the positive happens for you soon in regards to the injury. /Bro hug
Thanks Hara and Wiex for the support
Yesterday…
Really stretched and wanted to get under the bar for some light squats, the more I did the better I felt, went wider with the grip to alleviate some pressure off the shoulder area, it went ok.
Did some CGBP against Bands SS with pushdowns
SS Inverted rows with chins
Meadows 6 way
Sorry to read about your pain and suffering and fully respect your comments about what this means to you…and I agree…we all need that place to go to catch our breath from “real” life and for most here its the iron… Things will improve!
