Matty 5 wheels is over 90% for you. You can still get significantly stronger pulling in the 75-80% range. Dial it back and build till your healthy enough to pull maximal loads.
You’re right about the price of the marc pro being expensive but I justified it by breaking the payments up over a year. I’m looking for stellar recovery time from the brutal physical punishment of my work and from the devastation accrued and multiplied by heavy lifting.

I thought CT was a scan, but it doesn’t sound like it. I am not sure what is going on in here, but I find the confusion kind of scary.

Rock on![/quote]
CT = Christian Thibaudeau one of the authors on the site who is putting up some interesting ideas.

I find there is nothing like hooking myself up to electrodes and hitting the juice when I’m hurt.
Lol I got me some electrodes and acupuncture today … awesome!
Slowly…very slowly I am getting a little bit of strength back…
Today
Squat x3 @9 - Worked up to 385x3 (last rep a bit high) then a drop set of 225x10
Snatch Grip High Pulls off Pins - up to 225x5 (SS with chins 3x7 YES!)
DB Flys - 35x15 50x10 60x10 SS with DB CS Rows - 75x2x12 110 x 5
Spoon Press SS with Band Pushdowns (could not do any spoon presses a few weeks ago so this was good)
In my second week of rehab, I guess its working because I can do a bit more

Just a little bit of strength eh? Can I borrow a little bit then? Your still strong as an ox even in rehab.
Hey brother looks like things are headed in the right direction. I second what HARA said about getting healed up before going too heavy. 80% for you is still a big number.
Thanks Dave…might have to actually ease up on the deads all together, it really aggraates my hips and sciatica / piriformis pain.

^This
You’re at the point now where working 75-80% for some volume is big time work.
For being injured you’re cranking out a good amount of volume.
Nice volume, Matty. The pump/burn is a nice change sometimes. I have to do it every now and again…to get my fix.
Glad the rehab seems to be going well.
I had to look up pinwheel curls too. Cool! I learn something new every time I log in.
Thanks Strick, when I get back to full health, there is some of this type of training I am gonna keep with me.
Pinwheels are very distal tendon and elbow friendly in my case
baby steps
2 ct pause Squats - up 315x3 then 365x1
Pendlays - up to 245x5 and drop set of 155x20
Flat bench- 135x15 155x10 185x6 225x1 (went for 2 and my arm literally gave out)
Cable Flys ss with rev pec dec flys about 7 sets of each
Triskis
Hungover training…
Deads - 315x3 405x3 425x3 455x3 495x1 (confidence builder)
OH Press - 90x20 135x10 155x5
Klokov Press - Barx20 55x20

Dls are looking good.
Looked up the Klokov press. Looks brutal. Gotta try em.
Hell yeah build up that confidence…nice going with the 495.
495 hung over is brilliant. Does it cure the hangover? Love the Klokov press. You don’t mind if I’m lifting vicariously through you?
Matty–You never called me…
- Get a neck harness and start doing lots of reps for you neck going all 4 directions - start off every other day and progress to every day. Your c-5-c6 discs are compressing into your spine causing the weakness in your arm. Has your DR. put you on a table lying flat and grab your chin and back of head and tried pulling on your head like sliding a ring off of a pole? This helps to relieve a lot of pressure when applied correctly.
Also get gravity boots and hang upside down. When after doing this for awhile I modified a football helmet added weights and hung upside down.
Some stuff to ponder at least.

… or an inversion table. Cleaned up my basement and pulled the inversion table out. I like to hold the sides of my head and pull towards the ground to extend the neck and create “space” for the disks.
