No Caffeine, not fun…but to be clear I am still having it in the AM, just not in the PM and no energy drinks.

FINALLY got my fat ass in an MRI Standing while watching Seinfeld LOL. Quite frankly I am falling apart though, I am getting a weird pins and needle sensation in my fingertips. Also a weird sensation in my neck and shoulder area, not painful but an annoying type pain. W T F!

Today…I actually felt good besides from the above.

With the RTS Deload I was scheduled to do heavy DLs for 5…Really wanted 495 for 5. Stopped at 4 I think I could have had 5 but It would have been a real grinder.

After that it went way downhill…

OH Press stopped at 205x3, had no strength, Pendlays 225x10 is usually a pretty easy work set, but the 135x15 and 185x10 before that was unusually rough, and then 225x10 was oddly difficult.

Did some Band push downs and tri ladders, live to fight another day err lift.

Glad the MRI is done. Not sure about that pain though Matty… I had something similar with only my right hand. It turned out I was just fat, ate like shit and needed to exercise. I don’t think that applies here.

Seems like yesterday was a bad day for lifting, period. I had a session full of fail last night too man.

Yeah man one thing down, Im gonna have to go to a neurologist for my new ailment.

Well for the time being, no overhead pressing or chins. any movement where my arms are over my shoulders aggravates it. Of course OH pressing and Chins are my favorites.

Today was better much better.

Matty, I wonder if you might just have a pinched nerve or something that’s directly related to the pins and needles thing. While you’re waiting for the nuerologist, you should go for a sports massage this weekend or something. Maybe ask that security guard for a shoulder rub.

As you can see there was no benching, although there was benching on the agenda, I had to do close grip with Bands and feet up bench. The weakness and numbness in my hand and arm is getting glaringly worse as the days go on. When starting the feet up bench, I could only do 225 for 1 rep, its getting worse and worse and I am very concerned.

Neurologist appt tomorrow

Matty you need an MRI of your neck c4-c6 cause the issues you are having if they are bulged!

Heavythrower and myself have this issue you are having. Sounds alot like C6 is herniated and pushing into your spinal cord. If you let this go to long the damage will be permanent. Heavythrower had surgery, I didn’t.

I have 15% strength difference from my right side to my left because I thought it was just a pinched nerve and let it go to long where anything corrective could do anything.

This is a serious matter.

Can you still do the same number of pullups?

Again get yourself to a doctor and after your diagnosed we can discuss what I done to help get some of my strength back.

Rick thanks brother, I went to my Neurologist today and we took an initial nerve test (he put pins in my forearm neck and wrists) and through the audio he said that a nerve in the left side of neck is definitely pinched. He furtherly went on to say that I will need another MRI on my neck with exact Vertebrae you mentioned, I believe he said c4-c5. The only MRI have completed is for my head which I haven’t received the results for.

I am very very concerned, as he said once we see the images we will gauge the severity of damage and whether surgery is an option.

Its such an odd feeling, tingling in my finger tips, an odd soreness in my tricep, and total weakness.

I said to myself…self, maybe just doing super ghey pump work to get blood into the area will be beneficial for you today. I shit you not I couldn’t incline press 50lbs for 3 reps, no strength and no control.

Edit - I have stop doing any movements where my arms are above my head, I will tomorrow attempt chins just to see how it feels.

FML (is that still cool to use?)

For what its worth todays session was total garbage as well…

DL worked up to 455x4 then 425x4 it all felt like shit.

Pendlays - 135x20 185x10 225x10 245x5 225x5 - these were okay

Some db laterals, band front raises and CS rear DB Flys all done with no issues.

If I cant train the way I want to for the time being I could at least get some conditioning in, did the row machine for 5 rounds of 250 meters at 10.

Couldn’t do a pushup or 50lb incline presses without significant weakness.
