C’mon X, you telling me you wouldn’t tap that ass?

Dude you would need one of my Oars to slap that ass its so huge. Shit a man could get lost in all that fat. Uhh thanks X that just ruined my morning haha

Christ had to carry the very cross that he died on. He lifted for himself, and I think that’s enough.
You should study the history of your religion.

In all of the documentation, there is no record of a historical jesus before the year 300 a.d.

Christos is a thing that lives in all men. Christos is crucified within our flesh, and our pain is the pain of Christos.

This has nothing to do with a story about some guy betrayed by Judas.

Yeshua was a man who had found the Christos within us. Rather, he had recognized it…as it doesn’t need found - it is hiding in plain sight.

You people that worship Jesus Christ will never truly find him.

This is what happened to the last person that tried to hit her with a sledgehammer!

“Do everthing as if you are doing it for the LORD” As Christians, everything we do should Gloryify JESUS, who was/is GOD in the flesh. If you lift for you, fanstastick, if you lift for your mama, fine, but as Christians everything we do, should exalt Him, weightlifting, daily jobs, family life, hanging out with friends, walking the dog, ect., ect., ect.

Sorry to thread hijack…but has anyone read the Gospel of Judas? I picked up the book the other day and must say it has an interesting perspective.

So when you drop a weight on your head, you are going to scream, “Why have you forsaken me, Lord?” Organized religion is full of hypocrisy and is about money and power. You might as well pray to Bill Gates for your lifting abilities.

I can’t believe that no one has posted this…

Lifting for Christ?

Nah, I DRINK for Christ.

Also, didn’t he say “the meek shall inherit the Earth?” I don’t think he was pro-weightlifting, perhaps.

Or was it, the GREEK shall inherit the Earth?

Weren’t most of his teachings to do with giving up worldy things and to focus on the coming day of judgement? I seriously don’t recall much about getting strong or in fact, improving your worldy life in any way except treating people nicer, like.

In fact I think you’d be hard pressed to find any motivations for this lifestyle that didn’t involve several of the deadly sins.

And yet there seem to be a lot of Christian lifters. Go figure.

do the mormons lift for Joseph Smith, Jr.?

Joseph Smith - Wikipedia.

Hypocrisy at its finest. You make good points.

FOR ME!!!

It loses a bit when translated from the original Russian, perhaps, but you can just pretend you’re reading the subtitle.
Я поднимаюсь для меня. Для меня!!!

Is there anyone out there that believes we lift for Christ?
Personally I lift to glorify God! Every desire and interest we have that is wholesome and pure is from the Lord, whether that be gardening, studying theology, powerlifting, or bodybuilding. I know without a doubt that the Lord keeps me safe and protects me while i lift and strengthens me as well. And I thank Him for that everday! One of my favorite passages…“The Lord is my strength and song” Alot of people get the right mind set before a big lift by listening to heavy metal or something hard, I remind myself over and over that I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me! Having only been lifting for a year and a half and Bench pressing 200lbs is a miracle and a blessing.

Personally I dont feel it is neccessary for anyone who thinks this thread is stupid to take the time to post on here and annoy those who may actually be inspired by others like them. If you dont like it, you should save your time and not even bother.

God bless, and lift BIG!
