I’ll be doing a USAPL deadlift only in august just to get back into the game. My plan is to open with 706 to break the 198 raw national record and then plan my other attempts to see what I can do on the day. I don’t really plan on peaking or even deloading I’m just gonna go and do my thing

Today was awesome!!! goes to show that consistency beats flash and if you stick to the grind your body will so the work for you!

lol ridiculous.

is that the junior record or the open record?

do you have an ultimate goal you wanna hit before moving to 220? 750?

Deads were awesome!

Watching the video I think I discovered one of your training secrets which you haven’t disclosed to everyone. The innovative techniques used at your gym. The guys on the bench next to you during your first bench round are performing a unique two man partial barbell row with a spotter placed underneath the bar allowing them to use overload principles. That is thinking outside of the box, being in this atmosphere it is no wonder you are so strong!

Love that Ben is wearing sweats and a t-shirt (very plain and normal looking) while those guys are rocking tank tops and gloves. They have to show off the guns!

Glad I wasn’t the only one who saw that.

when you want to succeed as bad as you wanna breathe… then it’s time to start working for it!

Just wanted to drop a comment here.

Love the training videos, I’v been doing sheiko for about 6months now. It’s nice to see videos of someone else doing similar routines.

I have a tendency to add extra reps and add 5% or more on certain sets during my workouts too, not sure if it’s a great idea all the time but just like you said I feel like I haven’t had a hard enough workout unless I do more!

What I love about Sheiko training is that it is a complete head f*ck, people come and go during my workouts and I’m still there heading back to squats. I also love how you will NEVER fail a rep, there is no spotting involved, this is something your average gym rat doesn’t understand. You train between say 65%-85% for the most part and get stronger than almost anyone else in the gym.

By the way, I notice that your ass comes off the bench on some of your sets.

Wish I was doing these 10years ago when I was your age! Keep doing what you’re doing!

catching up! with the vids

Brilliant- enjoying all the videos Ben.

What do you do for a living, Ben?

I’m a student at CWU. during the year I am an RA in the dorms and this summer I took a facility management position at the rec center to make some more money before the year starts again

Goal for the week is to hit a double at each of my gym total lifts from 2 weeks ago that means a 605 squat 355 bench and 705 dead. hit the goal for the squat and bench but the 2nd reps were all pretty sketchy. Still I am thoroughly happy with the workout as a whole. Deads should be interesting in a few days =)

Your deadlift/bench/squat is awesome, bench form isn’t atrocious but could use work of course. How long did it take to get you to a 705 pull? And what kind of training did you do to get there?

Incredible videos, subscribing! They are very inspirational.
Keep up the good work man
