I have just finished dinner. My sister in law came over for her regular English lesson and after the rigours of education myself, my wife and her sister did a bbq (chicken, beef, scallops) and knocked back some Czech beer and a botle of Australian red.
Im now sitting in front of my computer with a cigar (an irregular treat), glass of Bowmores (not as irregular as it should be!!) and I am thinking about life. Life is good.
There is money in the bank. My recent health check came back great. The workouts are as fun as they have ever been. Im off to Turkey for 2 weeks next month. Last, but by no means least, my wifes last trip to the hospital was all good and both her and the baby (4 months till D-Day!!) are doing as well as could be expected.
It seems that in this day and age good new is a rare thing. The simple things i life are the good things in life are the good thing in life. Being able to wake up and not have anything to worry about is, in my opinion a gift for God and I am greatful to him for it. Im not rich, overly successful or amazingly good looking BUT I can say that I am as happy as I can imagine.
My point? Maybe I dont really have one. Just wanted to share my happiness with fellow lifters.
Great post! putting things in perspective, especially with the world as it is, is sometimes hard to do.
I have been re-evaluating my attitudes, beleifs, motivations and life in general as of late, and have come to some surprizing revelations about myself.
too hung up on some things, and dont pay enough attention to the more important “simple” things in life.
Guess I need to slow down and try to enjoy life more NOW instead of chasing tommorow.
