It's the Little Things

Who agrees with me that sometimes it’s those little things in life that make it worth living?

An example for me would be those morning when everything falls into place. I’m making breakfast and as I plate my eggs, my toast pops, as I finish buttering my toast, the kettle boils. Just makes me feel like i have everything together on those days.

I’ve kind of set my life up so I can observe and reflect on those things as often as possible.
For me, one of the benefits of this is lowered stress levels.

TITS OR GTFO!

There, now relax cowboy. If you take time to notice the small things that bring big pleasure, you will have a much better existence than 90% of the population. I’m very observant of my surroundings, of people. Do you know how many people don’t stop to notice the leaves changing colors in the fall? And then it’s over. It’s so beautiful and most people miss it.

Ok Fuckers here is some morning ritual joy.

I have sleep apneia, I’m good for about 5hrs a night since I was 20. So I’m a morning person. I’m up at 2:30 doing stuff. So when I get to work at 6 I want to wind down a bit to focus on either the day, the morning newspaper or whatever.

Coffee Shop- Grab a cup of Joe a Real Newspaper sit down spend half the time reading checking emails on my Iphone (which is what I use 80% of the time to chat on T-Nation so suck up the spelling errors) or check out the Legs that walk into starbucks on hot summer days.

That’s is my Every day joy.

I love this place! Someone yells for tits and we are provided first-hand. ( I think )

If I sleep through the night then I’m having a great day.
If I see a dog sticking its head out a car window then I’m having a great day.
If I catch a pretty girl smiling at me then I’m having a great day.

If I’m still alive when I wake up, it’s all good.

My teenage son phoned my father the other day and wished him a happy birthday, shot the shit with him for ten minutes. Might not seem like much but it ment alot to myself and my father…brownie points large. Now as long as he doesen’t have a big party while my wife and I are away this weekend he’ll be able to keep them lol.

That’s a pretty miserable outlook in my view.

If I get to socialise with people I like,I tend to be quite happy with how my day went at the end of it.Nothing makes me feel worse than being on my own and/or being totally unproductive with my time.

Not me brother. I’m having a good day all of a sudden, although those don’t appear to be “little things”

Nicely done. You are quite chivalrous. Wish I’d thought of it.

Coffee on the front porch with the dog this AM. Both of us just enjoying being up before everyone else in the house and soaking up the first nice morning in a while.

Hey I’m having a good day because you guys are entertained by such a tame pic

Wigsa don’t know me very well, do he??

Yo Wigs, when you get to be my age, and have done what I have, you’d understand what I wrote.

It was the surprise. A little unexpected boob is better than a lot of expected boob, you know?

Glad I was able to supply the surprise, then!

This is a great thread, I try to enjoy the little things…I like to surf the sports pages while i’m eating at my desk at work…I like to enjoy the back yard that i land scaped, I like to zone out inbetween workout sets…I like to enjoy the rooms i added onto my house and just marvel at my hard work.
