I loved that. Made my day. Thanks, Orion.

Hey, long-term pair bonding has it’s perks. And if you get married before either of you have any money, you don’t have to wonder if she’s marrying you for it. I know that ship has sailed for you, but the pair bonding part will happen if you want it to, pre-nup or not. And I’m going to stick by the two little girls that adore you part of the story. That would be quite an experience for you, I think. Mark Wahlberg (who I admire for a lot of reasons), has four daughters. He’s a guy who wasn’t very respectful to women earlier in life, and he says his wife and girls “made him a real man.” I’m pretty sure he’d be a “real man” anyway, but that was sweet.

Edited.
Hey. You didn’t respond, but I hope you saw my note about my comment being about Orion’s thinking, not your scenario.
Sorry, Chushin. I knew that you were ribbing Orion a bit, but I couldn’t help teasing you about being all sarcastic or pessimistic about marriage when we all know you’re happily married to “Mrs. legs that go all the way up.”

Me and the wife just found out for sure that we are having our first child. She is 8 weeks along and I am pretty stoked but extraordinarily nervous as well. Update. Its a girl. Something about that makes me twice as unsure of myself and anxious as I was before I knew. The pinkness has already descended on my little man cave and I have been moved out ha.
Congratulations! You’re gonna do just fine.

Chushin, Cortes was smothered to death in a Japanese cuddle house, confirm or deny.

Who is Pook?

Who is Bonecrackr?

I’ve been afraid to post in this thread because it’s so close to its end.

Anyway, I’m back from visiting my girlfriend; the trip was extended almost a full week due to flight issues. Everything went great, and a lot of minor things, fears, doubts, etc that had built up from being long-distance got resolved. Other than being halfway across the country, things are pretty great.

There was a minor bump that was very, um, borderline-ish. It lasted a day. No need to go into it. I saw it for what it was, and dealt with it. Things were back to normal the next day.

But yup, that’s that. A lot of my anxiety about the trip was unfounded.

Me too. I don’t want to be the one who kills it.

It’s good that you had a nice trip.

Chushin, I was hanging out with a friend of mine yesterday and asked him about where he learned Aikido. Figured it was a small world that you might be familiar with. He said at a dojo in Squirrel Hill under sensei Masutani (?). Sound familiar at all?

Congratulations! Although there’s no denying that boy babies are most excellent, I think you’ll find your girl baby an especially delightful one.

I had time to read more of this today. I am horror-struck. The poor writing alone is enough to upset me, but the message? My God. Do these men not realize that they are nasty, conniving sluts, too? “Brooklyn,” in Proverb 28 - am I understanding that he is married and still staggering hookups with his naked-texting sluts?

UGH. Orion, you’re killing me.

I’m glad it was a good trip. I still worry that it’s not the best relationship for you (red flags present) but I’m happy that it’s going well if that’s what you want.

If someone kills this thread, can’t he or she simply start another and continue on?

I think we need a more manly thread title, though. “Women Weaken Legs,” or something. I meant this one to be funny, but it seems to have ruffled some feathers. We need something hard core.

Very friendly, sociable, little Japanese woman? I thought she’d retired.

Used to be friends, though I doubt she’d remember my name.

You still up for a meet? Home soon.
Thats her. He was there maybe 20 years ago though. He got in trouble for the bad habit of punching and bouncing (like a boxer) though. She made him sign up for ballroom dancing so he could learn how to use his feet.

And yeah, definitely still up for a meet up.

x2, except the part about the old man who still loves his wife.

Ridiculous. And repellent. And I think he’s serious, which makes it a little bit funny. Wow, if you want to know the secrets to how women work, just ask that guy.

Goethe said “We are shaped and fashioned by what we love.” - Yeah, I wouldn’t spend a lot of time loving that blog. He seems like a bitter dork, who doesn’t see the cognitive disconnect of writing about lying manipulative sluts, while being a lying manipulative slut. Of course, he probably lives in his mom’s basement, and is just making up a lot of stuff about picking up women so his online persona seems badass.

I dont think you two get what this story is about from his perspective.

I dont think he did at the time that he wrote it.

He is basically saying that he would like to grow up, but if all that gets him is a sloar, why bother?

He is getting laid the way he is and he does not believe the quality of women will change if he improves, so he does not.
