Let's Process Our Feelings

He has a (very slight) connection to my work. I worry more that he’d do something wacky there - slander me with crazy talk - than come to my place and kill or rape me. So I don’t know about blocking, because then I wouldn’t know whether or not I’m still on his mind.

Luckily my attention span is short, so I worried about it for a day or so and now am back to not thinking about him again.

Do you have any good recommendations for a feelings processor? I have hodgepodge of kitchen stuff so it doesn’t have to look very nice. I just don’t want it getting all gunked up with the tougher things like love or mourning.

All things being equal: choose a neutral color, unless it’s small. No sense making things look worse.

Other than that, I got nothing. Maybe check Consumer Reports.
I’m going to disagree and suggest a snappy red if you can find it. My toaster is red, and I love it so much. I use it every day and it never ceases to make me happy, except when melted cheese is on the bottom and I forget to get it cleaned up before toasting again, and then it stinks again. Anyway, a feelings processor is likely to be one of your most used appliances, so it should be something you love.

Although I love my coffee maker, and it isn’t red.

Which serves as an excellent example of the complexity of life.
Interesting. I have a bright red coffee grinder that would probably go great with your toaster, and reminds me of a question I’ve been meaning to ask.

Why do women give me kitchen wares? In one relationship the woman showed up one day and gave me a microwave oven. I already had one, which she acknowledged, but said I should have the one she chose. Another gave me a Black & Decker steamer, and a third gave me the coffee grinder.

I’ve run it by a few of my buddies and they all go blank.

They were marking their territory.

Best friend came over yesterday and we killed a bottle of wine and a block of cheese and processed our feelings. She agrees with me that unavailability is not a draw for me, and also is jealous that I have bodybuilders in my computer and she doesn’t, but as I pointed out I have invited her again and again to work out and she won’t even do 10 pound dumbbells (I gave her some!) so that’s that. No assholeish misogynists for her!
That is sad.

No woman should be without one.

I am afraid to ask, what kind of cheese?
Colby jack. That’s what was in my fridge.
If I googled that correctly that is some sort of Brie.

Not bad.

But you dont frame this right.

For millions of Asians you basically enjoy rotten milk and are the culinary version of a gasthly pervert.

So you found a guilty pleasure, on the cheap!!!

So obviously, you need jump in head first, with cheeses that are even forbidden in some countries, femme fatale that you are…

Cheeses with nuts, fungi, overripe, goats, sheep, cows…

And when you are done doing that, you can try to match them with wine.

Sophisticated lesbianry does not come easy.
Allow to suggest that you put down that joint and slowly back away.
You are obviously not willing to support her on her path to throw exquisite lesbian parties.

I guess I’m afraid she’ll forget about us guys and join E-Nation.

Do you know how boring this place would be without her?
She never would!

The more lesbian, the more T!

Colby jack is nothing like Brie. I couldn’t let that rather egregious error go without comment.

And its good that you would not!

Cheese is nothing to be trifled with!

Our path to serious lesbomancy would be obscured by our lack of knowledge of all things cheese…

I had to pull out the Bleu d’Auvergne to calm down from that. Nothing less would suffice.

And what wine would go with it?

I would say white but that leaves you with a range of options…

Low sugar, even a bit sour?

My wine knowledge is incredibly poor. It’s such a full bodied yet tart cheese I’m not really sure.

Cocktails are more my thing, but I’m struggling with that too.

Maybe an older Pouilly-Fuisse, if I remember correctly what that tastes like.

Well, if its on the rich creamy side you can go for red, if its more light and on the wilder side you can go for white.

Specifically very young Gruener Veltliner if its a bit on the dry side.

With cheese I would err on the side of dry white wine anyway because its a nice counterpoint.

Your mileage may vary.

Sooo…

Well, I don’t have one around here, so no. I probably would if I did.

I actually went with a vodka martini made 3:1 with a French vermouth, lemon-peel rubbed rim and a lemon twist. They go decently together.

Yeah…

Nothing wrong with mixing drinks, but I think cheese yearns for wine.

I dont know why, they just go well together…

I guess the 1/4 vermouth doesn’t count enough as wine for you.

EDIT: but I know what you mean. I just can’t buy any wine on Sunday thanks to Puritanism. And I drank everything I had.

TIL vermouth is only half-lesbian.

You guys are lowering my T levels! I can feel it draining away as I read this.

Things are heating up again in my dating life, and I’ve gotten back to my confusing spot. So I’ve gone out with a guy twice now who’s pretty shy and old fashioned. No kiss attempt at all, and we spent all day yesterday together, a museum trip with a meal on each side, and are planning to do something maybe Friday. I like him, but I don’t know how much because A) we haven’t kissed yet, and. . .

B) There’s the Iraq guy, who continues to fascinate me. But he won’t be home until February and then will still be a good distance away, home for a month, then back overseas. But I like him enough that I don’t want to not meet him.

So, do I disclose anything, and if so to whom? Because the old impulse to Tell Everything is coming back. I worry that one or the other of these guys is going to get dropped with no warning, because I can’t have both. (Can I? lol)

And then there are a couple of others who haven’t really moved to the forefront yet. One is right in my backyard and was surprised when his wife of 20 years just abruptly said it was over 2.5 years ago. He seems like a great guy. He’s a builder.
