Less of a Physique?

I’m thinking about the original post, the thing that started all of this.

I have to ask, what’s with you guys over-thinking other guy’s physiques? If you aren’t a male model, BB competitor, or screen actor, then why would you waste one moment of your life looking at another man’s body and wondering if you’re superior or inferior to that person because of one aspect of their physical symmetry?

For that matter, how pathetic is it to further quantify your own self-worth by wondering if they took drugs or not?

Worry about your own achievements, ffs.

This is a good point, but we are all guilty of comparing and measuring up each other is almost all aspects of life (career, money, looks, car whatever). It is stupid, but we all do it to some extent. My view is if someone is more successful in something than myself (and I am interested in being more successful at that particular thing) then let me try to learn from this guy or gal. Their success is my success and vice versa.

Back to the bodybuilding natural vs enhanced, I can respect both. Each requires hardwork, tons for sacrifice and a level of dedication that is hard to find with the average person. Of course, the fruits of their labor will be dramatically different. I can understand the decision to go the steroid route, we all are looking for an edge to improve our progress and here is a proven method that works 99% of the time, tough to deny such a temptation. Drugs work 10 times better than any supplement we can purchase here, just a fact. It changes the rules by which your body response to exercise and nutrition. That is powerful.

If, like a popular member here recently stated, I want to go Pro, then it is a necessary fact: You will need all the discipline and hardwork you can muster AND a truckload of hormones & ancillary drugs. If you have the balls, pun intended, to go that route and that is what you truly want, how can I judge you on following your dreams? I too as a young buck wanted to be Mr. Olympia one day, I not so quickly realized its not in the cards for me and that is perfectly fine. I compete in small non-tested NPC shows sometimes against people who are very much on drugs and get beat, plain and simple. Is it because of the drugs I lose, no…but it certainly changes the type of physique one can bring onstage. Unless you are a true rookie, “growing into a show” is near impossible for a natural bodybuilder. Muscle & Fiction magazine continues to misinform many a young man.

I can identify with the statement You only go around once, you might as well go around with really big biceps. I think we all here love that. My question would be a benefit/risk ratio. Bodybuilders and particularly enhanced bodybuilders give up so much for a relatively small reward. What motivates someone to take such risks? Money? Very few really make large amounts of money and many of these bodybuilding cribs shows are a false representation of most bodybuilders. Fame? Ask the guy on the street who Jay Cutler is and he will say the QB for the Chicago Bears. The ablity to say they are one of the best in the world at something? Ok, I can respect that, we all can respect that. Success in any sport requires some level of risk, but at least the other risky sports like NFL with a 100% injury rate and something like boxing, getting pounded in the head is just not good for you, the athletes are very well rewarded. Now if my multi-million dollar NFL contract is on the line, I might reach for something for a little boost as well, which is one reason pro sports in general is a bunch of hypocrisy but that is another story.

Every user I have known personally loved being on, hated being off and at the end of the whole thing later felt like a moron for taking it.

That is not to say if you are a user you are a moron, just got this feedback from regular old school competive bodybuilding/powerlifting types, if you were Mr. Olympia I am sure you feel better about the whole thing.

This is a funny and great read.

hey i’m really sorry but 5’10 200 using steroids isn’t an achievment

that would be average/below average for a steroid user assuming you are eating food out of the tupperware containers

and it’s not even hard to get there naturally if you actually trained hard for a few years straight
Really?

you sound a little bit mad? strong 374 bench at 308, you’re a fucking legend. And FYI, OP asked for an opinion, you seemed to have just come in here to attack random posters instead of posting anything worth reading. I guess steroids don’t give you reading comprehension skills, good bench numbers, or powerlifting skills, etc.

there are probably powerlifters who take steroids and have average/below average powerlifting #'s too
Attacking someone else’s numbers when you don’t post your own (or at least a pic if you’re into BBing) just isn’t cool.

There are people in all sports who take PEDs who are still average/sub-par. Juicing doesn’t affect everyone in the exact same way. We’ve all heard of the lucky fucks who don’t have their diet/training down optimally and don’t do a PCT, but still maintain decent gains with little to no sides. On the other hand, there are guys who gain comparatively less, despite doing their cycle properly. What gives magic gains to some, gives only moderate gains to others, so you can’t generalize.

Conclusions:

 • some of us are just jealous of the cool AAS/PEDs kids with their mad progress

 • some of us just can’t admit that the “sport” of BBing isn’t all that hard with smart, consistent, and heavy AAS/PEDs use

Crap, I’m over 5’10’’ and under 200 while training way more than a few years. I must have failed.

^^depends on what your goals are.

Also, how do you take someone off ignore that you didn’t mean to put on there in the first place?

Thanks

I’ll tell you what then yolo, you pump yourself with 2g of test a week for the next 12 weeks and we’ll see how world class your physique gets

with a name like Yolo I’d expect you’d be all up for it.
oh the irony of you questioning my intellect when you believe DORIAN FUCKING YATES was on low doses of drugs during his career!!!

you have zero credibility you are a complete fucking moron.
low doses and doses that aren’t huge are not the same thing. I didn’t question your intellect like you said but I am now seeing as you clearly can’t read worth a damn

if drugs are the most important then anyone could take a boatload and look like Arnie. We all know it doesn’t work that way.

lol, you amused me at first, but now I’m bored.

You’re a tool, I’m done.
maybe because a lot of people don’t know how to gain muscle as a natty so they turn to steroids

why would you expect them to build non-natural physiques when assisted?

it’s funny how some people here downplay steroids

seriously, what do you need, besides them tupperware containers, and a gym membership?

if you want people to be impressed with your physique as a steroid user, maybe you should be 260+ lbs lean
So, you don’t know jack shit about steroids. That’s cute.

I saw two homeless men having sex in the dugout of a softball field this morning. I feel like that helped my own training and knowledge base more than the majority of information this thread.

So, how many grams of test does it take to get to the platform with an 800+ pound deadlift?

^^regarding your post before this about being over 5’10 and less than 200lbs and doing it wrong… What’re your goals?

Brad pit in fight club, then pursuing a career as an underwear model.

Seriously though, getting healthy with the side effect of not looking like a fat slob…

I don’t think stu goes much over 200 though. I don’t really feel like a failure…

Ya man, success is all relative to your goals IMO.

Stu is under 5’10 I believe… But yeah the OP that sparked our sub topic here is not the most knowledgable.
gregron wrote:

True, but I have a beard.

Wait… so Stu is NOT on steroids?

No wonder your under 200lbs.

Beards are the new Big Lifted Trucks.

It’s Overcompensation 101

I don’t use steroids you fucking retard. And my best bench is 420 not 374. You really need to work on your stalking skills. nameless, videoless, pictureless, anonymous poster. Nobody gives a shit about your stupid fucking opinion. I’m sure the OP was asking for opinions for people that are quailfied to give them, not just any jow blow dumbass that managed to turn on a computer and log onto a forum.
