SUNDAY EFS TRAINING
yeah you read me right!
lil diff group there on sunday, but i jumped right in cuz thats how i do.
db benching with bands- red band, 35’s, 9-10 reps for 4(5?) sets
weird as fuck, in a badass kinda way. had a few moments where i’d look at my teeny 35 db’s next to the boys’ 55, 75, 95, and 115’s… then it’d be my turn and they were yelling at me just like they do each other.
i really, really like how willing everyone is to help everyone else. when someone needs a spot all jokes stop for the set and all concentration is on the lifter. soon as set is over, jokes are all back again.
last set of db’s was no bands, with the 55’s… try #1 i got 3 before i felt my shoulder pop and i let go. not injured or anything, just threw me for a loop. try #2 i got 8 reps, so i’m counting 11 between the two… teehee.
michael j fox presses- yeah, i went there. the pvc pipe with either kettlebells or plates hanging from bands.
zach and i used the 16kg bells, so of course i had to joke that mine were the same as his… ha!
ok but cereally that thing is fucking demented. almost no one got more than 5 reps, its exhausting trying to control it and even with 2 spotters you’re still wondering if you’re gonna hit yourself (or someone else) in the teeth with it! vibrated the hell out of my lats and eventually my triceps. last set i went for 10ish, and ‘held’ it at the top for as long as i could… abt 5 seconds.
did 1 set of 3 wg pullups, just to make sure i could… i have a competition with deja to think about.
hanging leg raises, bent knees, 15lb db btwn mah feets.
done!
gonna see if i can top my 5 hr nap from yesterday… and if i can manage to eat my spaghtetti and meatballs before i pass out. had to get some gas station pizza on the way home, my leg got hollow again.
