if i ever want to be strong as hell i’ve got to tackle some things i simply don’t enjoy. the pay off will be WELL worth it. i’m sure i’ll need reminding of that later. lol
i’m gonna spend the first 8 weeks of 2010 EXTREMELY focused on form, addressing mobility and flexibility issues, and working on some other physical weaknesses.
i’m gonna run two phases of 5/3/1 with my maxes set nice and low.
the accessory work will be addressing my weaknesses. lots of light reps. lots of video to work on form. form form form.
for the first couple weeks i’m going to do hip mobility stuff every day. then i’ll do it every other day or so.
i plan to spend HOURS working on my squat. i’m gonna do TONS of bw and oh broomstick squats, etc. i’ve GOT to figure out my squat form.
basically i’m going to be doing all the things i’ve put off for years and hate. haha things i should have focused on YEARS ago.
my flexibility is so horrible. there’s no excuse for that.
probably gonna start doing a bit of grip training too.
oh and i’m gonna do LOTS of foam rolling. i think my foam roller is sposed to be here the 5th. something like that.
another thing i’ll be requiring is 2 conditioning sessions a week. i want to lean out more and eventually get to a level i can lift big and not worry about putting on fat regardless of what i’m eating.
Nice goals. Wendler recommends 20 hill sprints, 4x/wk in order to eat whatever you want and stay lean. That’s alot but may be worth a try. I think it would get real stale, real soon :-H

glad to hear we’ll all be miserable together. swoon! haha
speaking of cutting i’m actually pretty stoked to lose a bit more fat. i was the ‘transformation of the month’ on another fitness site this month and seeing my pics just makes me notice the extra chub i still have around mah belly. cry!
so these 8 weeks are gonna be abbr. as FF (form focus).
FF-A1
-shoulder prehab circuit, disclocates
-bb mp: 35 x 10; 60 x 5; 65 x 5; 75 x 10
-db mp: 20’s x 10, 10, 10, 10, 10
-chinups: bw x 5, 5, 4
-tons of bw squats, stretching, holds, etc…
the wrist finally felt money enough to do chin ups. yay!
oh and a buddy sent me some captain of crush grippers this week…so now i’ll be doing a gripper workout a couple times a week. should be fun since my grip’s pretty weak sauce. my old lady on the other hand…damn she has some INSANE strong grip.
