ups- what’s in a week?[/quote]
ummmm it was a joke about the girl wanting to get lean for the photoshoot, oh never mind.
See thats why i cant do a log, nobody would get me.
The girls I used to work with had a riot making fun of me.I was(am)the girl that tries to tell a story like this:
“Oh my god I saw the best friggin movie this weekend.”
" really? what did you see?"
UMmm, I cant remember, If I dont think about it will come to me, it had that guy in it, ya know the guy from that other good movie about um i forget
ok slightly exaggerated but true.
Went for some squat stands, only to find out they were only available online (big surprise)
joining a gym is sounding like my only choice.
that shake sounds very delish ![]()
ups- i shouldve gotten that, and i didnt. its fine if you dont start a log, as long as you keep posting to keep you avatar around. ![]()
frenchy- shake was awesome. took awhile to drink it, but i’m happy with how i do.
didn’t have all the stuffs for meatloaf, so i did meatballs instead, which happen to be on peggs new diet.
fahk. now i hafta share. i’ll make him earn them.
it’s an old country recipe, one my mom got from a lady who’s mother was from the old country.
so its really simple, like most of the awesome shit is.
also, for those of you who have em, how do you do cookbooks and recipe cards and the whatnot?
the stuff i’ve made often that i know i like, i have printed out on regular paper, in large print, in plastic protector sheets in a plastic 3hole punched folder, so i can have it out on the counter and not have to get squinty or worry about spilling stuff on it.
i just hate typing the shit up and categorizing it. grandma’s sour cream cookies are still on the sheet of notepaper i scratched it on when i got it.
hahaha ups - I’m totally the same way about movies. i’d love to see a log done in this style ![]()
and now i’m hungry… unfortunately i can’t really cook, so can’t help you there…
mmmm meatloaf.
A domesticated Bear? ![]()
I have a thing that props the book up…(err, a book stand?) But I never use it.
Yea the whole typing of the recipes is way to much for me, I will have a recipe float around for a couple weeks on a scratch piece of paper & once it is worthy of my recipe book - I scrawl it in there with my chicken scratch that way no one else in the whole wide world gets to use my stuff ![]()
My laziness knows no bounds!
recipes:
I got a lot from the internet so basically it was printout, in a plastic sheet in a binder. That way they are protected from spills and I can trash them if I’ve never used them
I have magazine clippings that I simply cut out and taped to a white printer sheet, same with the handwriting. If it’s legiable enough I just tag it to a big paper and slip it into the binder.
Its not all nice and neat but it is charming ![]()
Oh yeah, i suck at keeping recipes unless they’re in a recipe book. I get them, use them once and then they disappear…like my boyfriends sniffle
Btw, i’m going to look up all your supps and see what they do. I’ve never been one to take supps - maybe i’m missing out on something?..
Rocky- I just saw that from yesterday!! bwahahahaha!!!
deja- meatballs. omnomnom. slow cooked in sauce, didnt break a ONE of em. woot!
MIM- domestic enough to worry you. i can cook, clean, sew, and vaccuum. my parents are old parents and my grandmother is even older. what i got for christmas last year? several old cookbooks, one of them has a 1940’s date in it.
n8- i should get less legible handwriting… just so worried it would backfire on me. beef in a trifle, anyone?
n- ohhhhh i could do that. why i never thought of just taping them i’m not sure. consistency with the folder, i spose? i’m getting less picky about this, maybe they dont all hafta match. we’ll see how this goes.
maschy- BAD GIRL. i like it. i can give you the whole list of supps if you want, or you can look up those and get back to me later.
No training talk or pictures, but the food! Good god, the food in here is awesome.
oh but there IS training! I swearz!
had a 1hr 45min massage today. I neglected to tell her either when i called or when i got there that i’d had some neck/shoulder tightness, so when she got to that area and my back, she insisted that i come back SOON so that she could work on it more. someone else was waiting, and she couldnt spend the time fixing it today.
what i said, “that’d be like telling a guy he was getting pizza AND a blowjob, in one evening. oh DARN, i hafta come back for more massage? JEEBUZ!” she lol’d.
so this afternoon i chipped off some of the 2inch thick ice from the walkway around the office building i live above. wow. shits heavy.
then i made it to the campus gym. fucking WOW. i’d really be interested to know just how old some of that shit is. i’ll hafta get pics. BUT, it has stuff i can use and is better than no gym.
light stuffs, cuz i’m lifting this weekend, too.
bench- x10 up to 85lbs
pullups- i tried out the assisted thing, and the plates on it were indiscernible, i didnt take em over to the scale to check. x15, wide grip.
rope pressdowns- 1 10lb plate on the thing, no idea how much the rest weighed, x20.
so i did somethin. and my hammies are SORE from the other night. even resorted to some tiger balm.
and now is bedtime. night, bitches!

you gotta have your priorities straight, keeping nom recipes = good. spending 8 hours making it look super organized = not good. I have that compulsion to make everything perfect. I was shoveling our balcony last night and I had to stop myself from scraping it dry - there’s no point. There will be more snow. I think of my recipe book as something organic and changeable. I take some out, I put some in, I add handwritten notes. ect… I refer to it more than my bought recipe books (and trust me I got a good dozen)
On the recipe talk. When my mom died the kids were asking for different things, I really wanted her recipe box. Not only did I find a few of the “secret” ingredients she put in things but the handwritten stuff makes it really special.
Enjoy your weekend lifting!
