Cbear: A meet on the calendar is very cool. And end of April sounds like the perfect time frame–not so far off that it is hard to get up for, but far enough off that a good training cycle can reap good rewards.

cal- thank god, knock on wood, that i’m not sick. you’d hear (see?) a LOT more bitching and whining. i checked out the lenses on your link. freaking AWESOME!! i’m just way too cheap, and def a regular joe at this point. sigh.

nads- thats exactly what i’m hoping for. and the harassment has started already. WHEEEEE!!!

also, i decided i should be a moderator over at FA.

btw, do these pants make me look fat?

oh yea and the squats your helping me with…I have to have them perfect in a week haha

classes were canceled due to ice. no campus gym.

called the bro after work to ask if he’d take me to the local this evening. said he was out on errands, we’d go at 8. perfect.

stops home from errands to tell me that he got called in to go plow, he was taking the $$ and couldnt take me to the gym. told me to call dad.

level 1 road emergency due to ice means dad isn’t driving anywhere, law abiding citizen that he is. also, picking me up at the gym at 10 is WAY past his bedtime.

technically, i have a paper to write.

ups- what’s in a week?

man - the no permit sounds painful. No city transport? I would have taken the bus or stayed home and chatted it up on TN.

mainy- the pic jason posted of the railroad bike? that thing is more reliable than our “city” transportation. i have cabfare saved up if i REALLY lose my mind.

kimba- papermagic. hmmm. will hafta use that as a title somewhere. this one i’m calling, “On Ascendancy, Community, & Survival.” I might need to get drunk to keep playing around with Irish Literature. Yeats is a son of a bitch, and i’d probably like him a lot more if i didn’t HAVE to think about him within someone else’s guidelines.

but, there’s good news. rearranged my schedule, called Dad, and he came through for me.

so i puttered around.

ok.

i bounced off the walls, i was so happy to be there.

I know I’m not sposed to go heavy during the week, so i didnt do a “main” lift.

there were goodmornings, pullthroughs, stepups, leg extensions, weighted floating crunches, and seated calf raises.

i have GOT to find a way to put my ankle in traction so i can do the rehab stuff Mike sent me. I know i’m a terrible herpes riddled asshole for not being consistent with it. i was so surprised to do those calf raises relatively pain free (not comfortable, but not injury-painful), i did 3 sets of 15 with no weight on the pole.

then, i walked for 10 min @ 3.0mph, 6.5% incline.

and, my girl at the front desk saved me a piece of the pizza they ordered.

What are weighted floating crunches? All I picture is you levitating above the cardio area with people hoping you don’t drop that weight on them.
Kidding…kind of. I still don’t get the floating part.

polsen- i really dont know what to call them. i refrain from levitating in public, usually. what i’m referring to is flipping to supine on an old hyper stand, and scooting to the edge so that my butt half hangs off the stand, and it feels like i’m gonna fall when i’m parallel with the ground.

if there’s a better word, i’ll use it and stop wasting the energy making things up. :slight_smile:

i didn’t get to the school gym. campus closed bc of ice, yesterday and today.

today, it’s a level 2 road emergency, so HA!! now i’m not the only one that can’t drive.

if i fake a power outage, i dont hafta turn in my paper due at 1, either…

nah, i got all 5 pages in before “class” was over.

as far as taking advantage of the smack, well… i’ve eaten a lot of casserole and fat biscuts today, had a couple liters of water, and took ALLLL mah supprementseses… FOR THE THIRD DAY IN A ROW.

so now i’m a lil sore, kinda tired, and kinda restless.

anyone wanna pick me up and take me to the gym?
