I had a longer, awesomer type post all typed out, then my browser crashed on me.
I sent one of my RPh’s to the ER tonight.
He fills in when one of my regulars needs a day off, and we’ve grown quite close over the last 3+ years. He’s 68, retired from my store, and hasn’t given a shit since 1963. I admire the mans consistency.
We think it was low BP bc his meds haven’t been adjusted for his recent weight loss, and we know he’s gonna be ok.
made for a long night at work, as I was the only one with my wits about me during and after.
EHG wins for now. will finish the other later this week.
While the EHG post is being approved, I’ll tell training.
EFS Benching (yes, i went on a sunday)
bar x 10,
65 x 5
85 x 3
95 x 3
115 x 3 (have liftoff starting here)
135 x 3 (all clean)
145 x 3 (still clean)
add belt and wraps
155x 1.5- fuck me running batman i didn’t keep my back tight, or control on the way down, or my elbows tucked… where the fuck have i been?
155x 1.5- determined to better my set, the first rep was awesome and the second, well, i just ran out of gas.
I hate needing a spotter but im so glad they’re there. No excuses for missing, just sucked today.
So i did some military presses and rear delt raises and called it a day. I got there late-ish and was one of the last two people there anyway.
but, i’m glad i went and even glad i fucked up. fuel for next time.
Sounds decent to me, considering you’ve been working your arse off and haven’t had as much time to train.
So what’s the deal with belts on a bench press? Does it help much?
cal- just another reminder/brace to fill yourself with air, push out, etc. i’ve watched my ROM get shortened by inches just by taking a bigger breath, keeping my shoulders tight, etc.
BG- keep your ass around here as often as you like, and in whatever size pic you choose. it’s nomly appreciated!
