And when I say i got good sleep in, i mean that yesterday we got back from the gym at abou 1ish, took a nap, woke up about 430 to eat, went back to sleep, woke up about 830 to meander around whole foods for awhile and watch a couple movies.
went back to sleep till about 11am today, only to have my sleep punctuated with nap and bathtime.
don’t worry, i will join the world for international bench press day tomorrow.

you’re not kidding, mim! took some HOT-ROX and stuffs yesterday before the gym, and havent had a mg of stimulants since… methinks my student body needed it more than i realized!
benched at the local.
sets of 10 up to 115, first set at 115 i got 8 so i tried again and got 5. theres 10 in there somewhere.
mixed up incline flyes, low cable rows, pullups (no band), and neutral grip db presses. all at leaste 3 sets of 10 or 15.
did some weighted deficit crunches and hanging leg raises, knee to chest with a 15lb db btwn mah feets. 3x10.
i hate volume.

volume definitely sucks, which makes it more awesome that you do it anyway! Good stuff.

deja- no but srsly I had to try again! Never mind the fact that it was late, at my local, with not so much food in my belly, i KNEW i could get 10 reps outta the mutha fahka. so it was in 2 sets. meh.
just before my evening class yesterday, one of the girls from work txted me and told me that they needed me to come in. someone was sick, they were really busy, etc etc.
didn’t ask how much hw i had, if i could or even wanted to.
I told em to close the driveup, stop accepting rx’s for the same day after 8pm (close at 9), and remind everyone that the pharmacy manager didnt hire anyone over the summer bc he didnt really think that everyone would quit/go back to school. then i suggested that they ask him to come in and help if theyre really that bad.
so by the time i got to the gym, i had some frustration to burn off. ![]()

i got my big assignment for tomorrow done tonight (ok well a lil after midnight so its really same day but not the morning of or 15 min before class.) and THAT feels almost as good as the DOMS.

I have my awesome (no it really is) tuna salad made and portioned out, and i have ingredients for super omlettes and spoon necessitating smoothies. Im gonna eat whether I like it or not. i wanna start liking it again.

recently started vitamin B supplementation to help with the latter of #4. 1mL b12 IM once weekly for 1 month, and a daily b-complex. i’ll let u know how that goes. maybe too soon to tell?

There is no getting around the fact that alcohol is poison. Its an unfortunate reality, given how delicious wine is. But some time off to regain awesomeness is a well-considered decision.
Way to not get sucked in to being needed at work. Setting limits: I gotta’ work on that some more…
I did the no-alcohol thing for four months; made such a difference in every way possible. Your #4: do you get in a food slump, too? My appetite changes when summer fades. Nothing appeals. Maybe I should read back the couple pages I’ve missed…

FF- hai! nice to see you here! I’ve done the no alcohol thing before (for 355 days. thought i was an alcoholic, turns out i just hated myself. fix that and the brew is lots easier to deal with.), and so it’s not like it’s THAT much of a struggle for me, but im not gonna start back with that till i feel better.
re: the appetite: no, it doesn’t normally wax and wane, which is why im paying attention to it now… my stomach is a bottomless pit and food is always a good thing… well, almost always. past month or so i can be hungry and craving something, get said food item in front of me and just… get disgusted with it. junk and healthy food alike. if i bring myself to eat the junk food, i usually get about halfway through it before my stomach threatens mutiny. so i’ve made efforts to cut down on the junk and at least make it cleaner foods.
deja- yay for inspiration! I dunno for sure whats going on (need to catch up on your log, if youve mentioned it), but damnit woman bring the hammer down AND your foot! just, not the hammer ON your foot. that’d be ouchy.

I hate high rep deadlifts - or my hands do, at any rate. Dieting, yeah. Or lack of sleep, stress, PMS, you name it. There are always a ton of physiological reasons a workout might not go as you’d hoped. But you know that.
