I like the poem.

Re: the piercings, I’m happy with my three. Never felt the urge to put a needle through my privates but then I never wanted to bring attention to the fact I have a snatch like a Predator’s face. A labial corset can look sensational on a tidy pussy, though.

doc- yay! i love that youre around again!!

brute- the worry isnt whether it’s flashy or not- my woman has assured me that if i took it out no one would ever “see” it. I may be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that an MRI might rip it out? or fuck up the imaging in some way?

someone who knows more should give me real facts instead of suppositions. those, at this point, are enough to keep me from doing it. [/quote]

Ack! NO metal in the MRI! Depending on the composition of the metal the magnetic field generated by the machine will either, heat it up, screw with the image, or it is possible to have it attracted to the magnet and yeah, rip it out. My understanding is that titanium is cool with MRIs, but that is about it.

cal- snatch like a predators face- i love it!

doc- well, that settles that then.

this week’s poetry assignment:

write a self-portrait poem of no more than twenty lines, incorporating a figure from classical mythology into the poem in some way. You do not need to use that figure as the basis of your self-portrait, and that figure doesn?t need to be a named character?it could, for instance, be a monster. In addition to this character, I would like you to include the following words in your poem: dance, willing, bone (you can change this to a specific bone if you like), and murmur.

Portrait via Convoluted Reflection

I?m no longer
Young enough to think I know everything
I?m not yet
Old enough to feel sorry for those that do

I can?t say
I remember innocence
I don?t regret
Anything that?s happened since

I still dance
To the murmur of a punctured drum
I?ve been willing
To take a powder

I was born
With Rosie?s Rivets in my bones
I am here
With Cerberus as my sentry.

Criticism of any and all kinds is welcome and encouraged.

Class till 530, then dinner at 7 with a couple school type friends. and by dinner i mean margaritas.

Interestingly, I think the best lines in that poem are the ones where you used the assigned words.

Nads- It gets workshopped today, I’ll report back later.

Today is one of those days I want to strap a feed bag on my face.

I feel like that a lot…

PMS or just hungry? When I’m PMSing I’ll eat anything that can’t run away fast enough.

Oh fuck, me too.

CBear: I especially like the first stanza. I lol’d. I also like the ‘rosie’s rivets’ line, it speaks to the power of women, and our history of the fight for equality. At least to me it does. Deep.

i like this log. definitely will be following. i envy that you get to lift at EFS…

Powerstation Gym just called.

I’m 13 people deep on the waiting list for amateur day.

I’m just gonna guess that means I’m not lifting.

I give a Fuck, & today it met Cluster.

That sucks. I hope you get lucky, but if not, I’m sure another opportunity will open up for you.

sucks…

more time to get more awesome though!

Powerstation gym?

God, I hope you’re not joining Curves.

It’s the Powerstation ProAm.

nah, Curves is WAY too advanced for a meathead like me…

so there’s another meet aug 28th, but i’m already working that weekend bc i had the 19th/20th/21st off.

FUCK.

I’m still gonna go, because the mother fucking hotel is already paid for, and THAT’S a great story.

Made the reservations online when i googled, made sure i got the correct location, picked the dates, clickeyed through, put in my debit card #, and went to bed feeling accomplished, figured i’d write the check and mail the entry the next day.

So I woke up to find that the reservation had been debited already instead of just holding my reservation, and then i realized that i’d done it through a 3rd party website. I called them to ask why it had been debited instantly (who pays for a hotel room before they stay in it?) and to let them know I’m supposed to get it for a discounted rate…

lady told me that she wouldnt change the rate, and that i agreed to be debited instantly when i clicked “I have read and agree to…” NOW HONESTLY. I asked to cancel the reservation. She said she could do that, but that if i cancelled, I wouldnt get a refund. Also in the “i have read and agree” bullshit. I asked for a supervisor, and was told that they work with the same policy she does.

So i hung up and called the bank, who said that they couldnt do anything until the transaction was actually “posted” and that it was still technically “pending.”

by the time i got the dispute department at the bank and the reservation website assholes on the same page and the difference for the discounted meet rate (still out the money before i stayed) back in my account, it was too late for my entry form/$$ and the meet had filled up.

MOTHER. FUCK.

Next time, I’m opening the savings account and sending the money in as soon as the entry form is on the internet. goddamnit.

Got one of the girls to work my weekend for me.

Jason’s oldest has a bday party on the 27th, so i’ll be able to be there for that, and then drive elebenty hours to the meet on the 28th.

i called and emailed the guy bc the entry form isnt on the interwebz, and to see if there’s still room for me, still waiting on the form to come back in an email.

so we’ll see. heavy lifting tomorrow.

hope you have better luck for this meet. it’s weird for me to hear people being turned away. only like 4 of us in the SHW division that lift in the AAPF here in Montana, and surrounding states. lol

sprained my ankle again. same one, same way- rolled it. I was jackassing around the gym, skipping over to the DL platform and rolled off some mats that were on the ground.

not sure yet if it’s as bad as it was last time, but it definitely had me on my back yelling expletives for a minute. got ice and ibuprofen right away, and Doc was there lifting so I got lucky with that- he worked on it for a little while and said that if i’m not an idiot, i can still lift on the 28th.

more later, I’m just too mad/frustrated right now to post anything besides an 8 page rant. and it’s mad at myself, which is the worst part.

Fuck, that sucks. Sorry it happened.

The image of you skipping over to the DL platform is very sweet.

Damn that ankle. I hope it’s not serious. I’ve had some ankle injuries in the past. Some I’ve been able to run through with the help of an air cast–you can buy them on line. Aircast Air-Stirrup Ankle Brace But those high ankles sprains are really hard to work around and take fucktardly long to heal.

I have sprained my ankle so often I have my own protocol for it. Last time I did my right one, it was only 5 days before I was due to fly to Korea and Japan for a rollercoaster holiday (lots of walking around). Not being able to walk wasn’t an option.

Day of Sprain: I did it really badly during my lunch break (I was jogging down a trail and put it on a tree root.) Hobbled back to the office and iced it. Started doing ankle rotations (try writing the alphabet with your foot). It was pretty nasty so my colleague was nice enough to drive me home. More ice when I got here, plus ibuprofen.

Day 1: Felt OK to manage the 2 mile walk to work, 1 hr walk and lunchtime and 2 mile walk back using an ankle support. Continued with ice, ibuprofen and ankle circles.

Day 3 - 5: Ditto.

By the time I got to Korea, it wasn’t healed but I could walk around no problem. I took the ankle support with me but didn’t use it. It was fine by the end of the holiday, aside from the accessory navicular (my freak extra bone) which ached for months, but as you likely don’t have one of these, I wouldn’t worry.
