That is incorrect as far as I know… they are not allowing guys to crossover and compete in both.

I seem to recall him only being about 195 when he took the Ironman a while back.
As to those ‘before’ shots, he admited after his sparticular contratct with that company was up that he was paid stupidly to get so out of shape, and then just train and diet like he normally would to get back in shape afterwards (it’s the company whose name we can’t mention… shhh!)

You’re right, Stu.
Additionally, as I understood it, he pissed that company off for telling the public he never used their products. lol
Ah, what to do with politically incorrect men.
I actually really like his attitude, even though he is crass and self absorbed. I like how he just goes against the flow and says whatever the hell he wants.
Also his forearms are massive.

Soooo, it looks like Priest will win his Aussie competitions (if he comes in like that)[/quote]
hopefully he does get it but he will have a challenge if dexter does the shows as he did this year…arnol, aussie pro, nz pro, taking them all out.
He wasn’t paid stupidly to get “out of shape” IIRC, although he mightve been paid on a pound basis (how much he gained/lost) so he might have. He was originally paid to get the way he always got (back then) and push his gut out as much as possible, for the pics below (his own words). also the poses (if you canc all them that) are as unflattering as possibel for someone around 15-20% bodyfat.
This is why I liked the Gustavo pacho ‘transformation’ (and even the bartl one), they admitted he had a good amount of muscle underneath, and they used the exact same poses for comparison with no tricks to fool the public. The before pics weren’t intended to make him/them look as sloppy as possible.

I like the bucket o’ chicken one.
His waist looks tiny as fuck to go along with those gigantic arms.
has anyone seen the vids/pics of lee posing when he was like 19. Insane genetics. Didn’t his mother compete as well?

Priest used to bulk up to over 275lbs at his height every single year until a few years ago.
I do think it is funny that some people think that just because they don’t see pics of these guys at their worst shape that they must never get fatter. MOST of these guys gain extra fat in the off season and the ones who do are usually the ones who make the most progress from one year to the next. Once they get to the elite level, more may cut back on doing so (since all of the size is already built for the most part), but that doesn’t mean those pics were strangely coerced or that he never bulked up.
He has stated many times before that he hates dieting and hates eating the way he does to get into contest shape. He’ll go to Cheesecake Factory right after a show and make them wish they never opened for business.
Off season Lee Priest at a guest posing years ago. This is pretty much how he looked most of the year or even heavier. Those guns were built from a hell of a lot of food that would make some here faint.

Not to discredit that Physique Clinic transformation, but I did not like that the editors didn’t take time to get his body fat tested properly and accurately (read: hydrostatic). I think next to his photo somewhere on this siteit says the guy lost x (27?) pounds of FAT, which is misleading.
I think he just lost that amount of WEIGHT, but the amount of actual fat lost may never be known. I’m just recalling this off the top of my head but it was something to that effect.
priests genetics are just way to fucking good in general to be beaten by henry. Priest had such a full look to him its nuts
his arms are so thick they just look like one solid mass
I’ve been a priest fan since I first started training (I can acually recall the photo someone sent into one of the mags, in the letters to the editor page, with a pic of some young kid form australia). Still, You gotta admire Henry, I don’t think we’ve seen someone of his stature, who also brings the quality of physique since Lee Labrada.

It’s gonna be a tough decision.

I’m calling it now, Dave Henry will win the 2009 202 O. He’s the returning champion with a world class back, and Priest certainly has politics against him and a layoff from competing.

Not when it comes to a front double-bi… Unless Priest messes up.
He’s imo meant to carry more weight and compete in the open (certainly possible for him).
I wish both of them good luck.
Edit: Intersting… Dave’s traps top Priest’s in that shot…
