Anyone had lasik surgery or know of anyone that has had it. I know you have to wear goggles when you sleep for a few weeks but what about lifting, must you take some time off?? What is recovery like and anyone in the Denver area have any Dr. recommendations?
I had the surgery in early March and asked the doctor this question. He said to layoff the first couple days (you’re whacked out on valium the first day anyway) and that if I wanted to work out, to try not to sweat, since it may run into the eye, along with whatever nasty little things landed on your face/hair that day. I just used dumbbells at home (with my goggles on) and rested longer between sets and did not do forced reps (in order to keep the physical exertion down). The reduced volume might do you some good. I didn’t think that my future eyesight was worth the risk. Hope that helps.
