After 8 weeks you can begin decreasing your dose by 15 mg every 5 days until you get down to 30mg/ day and keep it there.

Dang, I have 60mg zinc pills. Is there a company that you’d recommend for 15mg or 30mg zinc pills?

Again, thanks for your help and congrats on your new job!
I will check around and see what brands currently come in 15mg incriments. The new Zn fix protocol unvieled at the biosig 2 is simply to drink one whole bottle of Zn tester on day 1 split throughout the day and do the same thing on day 2 and you should be fixed. That is the quickest, easiest and most cost effective so I would recommend that personally.

Will you let me know when you are there - I have your first client.
Thank you! I really believe in the Poliquin system and I am so excited to have the chance to earn a living learning and doing what I love. I am passionate about training and nutrition and there is no better place to continue growing in this field. I will pm you my contact info when I get settled up there and I will be happy to take on a new client!!

Thanks for the tip. Also I noticed that you tend to bump up dosage of zinc to combat colds/flu. What is the recommended dosage when you have a cold or the like? Or I do not need to do that since the Zn fix protocol will fix that for good?

Admittidly there isn’t much science behind it but, when I feel a cold coming on I will take an Uberzinc with EVERY meal (that is a lot of Zn) and I will continue until 2 days after I feel fine. That for me has worked quite well!

CONGRATS!!!

That’s fantastic news. I know this is great for you and your career but I think the folks at PPC Chicago are the lucky ones for getting you as a part of their staff!

Cheers
C

Congratulations on the PPC news! Chicago is a fun place. I’m sure you’ll do great there.

Congrats!!! Great headline!!!

Honsetly, I was planing to fly the States, but now, I have too clear where I want to go.

Sincerly, Thanks for your contribution and share your knowledge with us.

Admirable

All the best

Now I won’t have anyone in Columbus that knows a massive amount of nutritional knowledge. =[

Congrats on the job, sounds like a great fit for someone who has obviously worked as hard as you have.

Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement and for keeping up with my log. My focus will be a little bit different when I am settled in Chicago but I will still keep up this log and look forward to being able to share with you guys some of what I am learning up there as well. I will continue with updates on training program, supplements and nutrition and any other blurps of info I think will be fun and informative.

I look forward to being able to answer a broader scope of questions and thank you all for your support.

I was just thinking. It seems to me that you are pretty much in the situation I’d love to be in - lifting at Westside Barbell, having close friends who own an online nutrition outlet, know pretty much everything about supps/nutrition, and now you’re offered a job at one of the top coaching facilities in the nation.

I don’t know if this is too personal, but would you mind sharing a little bit more background as to how you amassed this great fortune? I know it started in college eating oatmeal, eggs, and cherry pie filling. But beyond that, I don’t know how your path led you to here. Again, only if you’re okay with going into a little detail here.

Congratulations-
I have been lurking on your blog and believe you are a standup guy who has earned your good fortune.I am a 65 yr. old former so-so power lifter(class 1)trying to get back to lean and fit for the stretch run.Your blog has been very helpful in that regard.Perhaps a future book for you or CP would be “Training,Diet,And Supplementation for the Ancient Lifter”
Best Wishes,

Thank you for stopping by! If I ever get enough wisdom to fill a book I will surely keep that in mind for an idea!

I wish I could do a better job of nailing it on the head but I am still a bit awe-struck by how lucky I have been. It really is a testament to the fact that the people we associate with make us who we are. The best advise I can give you or anyone else is to always be generous and treat others with respect. I have been fortunate to have had the chance to meet the people I have but the doors, IMO, have been opened by the fact that I am always appreciative of their knowledge and time and I always offer to help them out any way I can.

Everyone has something they are good at and even though it may not be training related it may be a service that that person you are asking for help from could really use. Always look for ways to make the most of every opportunity that presents itself and look for ways you can be better.

You deseve it all bro. Congrats and goodluck(not that you need it).

GJ

Congrats.

I agree with the pay it forward principle. Every job I have had except for one, I was fortunate to land because of a good impression I had made on someone that had a deciding input in my employment.

(I know ‘deciding input’ doesn’t sound right but I can’t think of the phrase. whatever)

Often times people forget how much the liver does and how important it is. Trust me when I tell you a healthy liver equals steady progress in terms of health, strength, and fat loss.

So that is about it for now. Again thank you everyone who took the time to stop by and read my log and wish me well!

For you fish eaters out there, myself included I came across a great article on Dr. Mercola’s website about Vitamin D and Sunlight’s role in removing Mercury:

How Sunshine and Vitamin D Can Help You Eliminate Mercury

Accumulating data have provided evidence that vitamin D is involved in brain function. Vitamin D can inhibit the synthesis of inducible nitric oxide synthase and increase glutathione levels, suggesting a role for the hormone in brain detoxification.

The study shows that vitamin D helps remove mercury from your body safely by radically increasing the amount of intracellular glutathione.

Neuroprotective and immunomodulatory effects of this hormone have also been described in several experimental models, indicating the potential value of vitamin D in helping neurodegenerative and neuroimmune diseases. In addition, vitamin D induces glioma cell death, making the hormone of potential interest in the management of brain tumors.

These results reveal previously unsuspected roles for vitamin D in brain function and suggest possible areas of future research.

Angelo, my friend -

As I was reading this it did pop into my mind that you do, so finely, embody the attribute of generosity. I think your open mind, your gentle spirit (although housed in a rock-crusher body), and your curiosity just naturally lead you.

You are a great example.
