Deadlift
255 x 5
295 x 5
335 x 6

OHP
95 x 5
105 x 5
120 x 4 (lost balance, also felt dizzy. Didn’t want to give up and be frustrated so…)
120 x 6

Today was a shitshow at work. Didn’t even get to have lunch (and I rarely have breakfast). Was only able to have afternoon coffee with some caramel in it before lifting. Unfortunately, this is the only day I can lift this week, and then maybe friday

Very disappointed. I really wanted 320 x 3 on squat. I lost balance on the second one, bar drifted forward on the right side and then I just racked it.

Bench definitely was a disappointment

And in true idiot fashion, I went back today for that stupid bench

Bench
140 x 5
160 x 3
180 x 2!!!

Cable lat pull downs 60 x 10 x 3

So it really looks like I need to either split my squat and bench or bench before I squat if I want to progress with my bench. Looks like I really have no choice

Trying that 135 on 3 hours of sleep wasn’t such a bright idea. Really happy with the deadlift but this 135 has been eluding me. I’m gonna try again either tomorrow or wednesday and just OHP. I really want to get that before I reset my 5/3/1 cycles.
Still posting the videos to keep it real here with the ups and downs

You almost had those presses. A couple suggestions-
Get aggressive with the bar! Try driving your elbows forward as you get into the front rack.
Get a very deep breath of air. It doesn’t seem like you’re doing this based on the videos.
Drive your head through as you press, don’t let the bar sway away from you unless you intend to create it into that standing incline press that really strong people can do.

Agreed. Thanks for the advice! Yeah I think I really didn’t brace as hard as I should. Will try again tomorrow or wednesday!

I respect your drive and intensity. Getting your sleep is just as important as lifting. You don’t start building strength and muscle until you leave the gym.

Good lifting!

Even your misses on the OHP looks pretty solid. 2nd attempt was almost right there!

Also the haircut is a Definite PR.

You definitely have that in you. It just might be a matter of some little technical tweak, Sleep, and extra egg or two, etc.

Upper body before lower body!

It’s not a moral failing, it’s just prioritization!

Echoing what everyone else so saying - that’s basically as close as you can get to finishing the rep without actually finishing it. The strength is definitely there, that just wasn’t the day for it. Good work dude.

Sorry gents, not this cycle. Back to the grind.

Cable rear delts 10 on stack + 3 lb dumbbell, 10 x 4
Egyptian lateral raise 10 on stack + 3 lb dumbbell, 10 x 3
Face pulls can’t remember if it was 50 or 60 on the stack, but it was the first bigger plate 10 x 3

Thanks for the encouragement gentlemen. We’ll get this next time!

So resetting my 5/3/1

Numbers look exactly the same except for the sumo. I realized I wasn’t fatigued when I set my TMs last time, probably why sometimes they felt heavy, specially for the bench. Numbers went up, but now my TMs are based on rep PRs done while fatigued. So we’ll see what happens this mesocycle. I expect the reps to go up, hopefully.
