Yep! At least I’m not one of those new year resolution guys. LOL
You’re already doing worlds better than the Russians and their New Years “Vodka Marathon” ![]()
Haha. Side note: I actually don’t drink. I’ll have a bottle (tops) of beer once every 3 to 6 months with a good meal that goes well with beer. I really hate the feeling of hard drinks on the throat.
I managed to eat less today (still trash, but less). It’s 2am and I’ve been thinking of food for the last hour. Oh well
Down to 74.45 kg. Eating half the rice i usually consume. Cravings are also less. Just gotta keep this up!

Holy Shit! Traps!
Nice belt, the black looks mean.
Also, I try to wear my belt so it’s a little lower in the front and a little higher in the back. So instead of sitting directly on top of my hip bones the belt is coming across my hip bones at an angle so there is less area to pinch.
No shrugs and no heavy deadlifts means traps are taking over some of the other upper body movements lol. Probably from the volume of sidelaterals I do. The hip huggers are kinda shrugs too. Haha.
Never thought of wearing it lower at the front and higher at the back. Will definitely give it a try. Last time I was deadlifting, i realized I probably was better off without the velcro belt for conventional. Maybe that’ll help!
4 February 2021
Jogged, uphill sprint, miserable labored breathing, sat on the sidewalk disappointed with where my cardio is at
Ok so the uphill sprints went really bad. There are three blocks of uphill streets I frequent, maybe 30-45 degrees elevation. First block went really well, then went to shit from there. I only lasted one block. LOL. Had to sit on the sidewalk after dragging my ass on the next two blocks.
Not planning to track my miles or whatever it is runners do. The goal is just to get my resting heart rate in the low 60s during the day even after some light activity like walking to work and low 50s when on bed at night.
Had extra rice because I haven’t had KFC in a while. Had 300mL of mountain dew too. Then officemates suddenly wanted milk tea/boba after lunch instead of coffee ![]()

@TriednTrue didn’t want to clog up @Frank_C 's log so I’ll reply here
2 gym days just worked for my schedule best
(Pre covid) cause I also had 1 dedicated day for sports, on top of all the other commitments I had. I was using 5/3/1 beginners which is basically
Squat, bench, assistance
Deadlift, OHP, assistance
Thanks for outlining your 2 days training. I’ll keep that bookmarked for when I need a break from 5/3/1!
73.65 this morning. My reward? Finished the serving of fried rice from food panda (probs 2 cups) and finishing my left over mountain dew, around 300mL
No problem! I had to do a chest exercise both days or my pecs and bench strength wouldn’t progress. That’s a quirk of my horizontal pressing physiology, and yours may vary.
