Definitely. That’s why I also always used to do face pulls when I still had access to the gym. Thinking of a way to set up something like that with the pull up bar
You jinxed it. The day after you typed this reply, guess what starts showing up on my feed? Trump postponing the stimulus until after election. Didn’t really bother reading them, but isn’t this a dumb move on his end? or is it to get people to vote for him in order to be the “hero” when he finally gives out the second stimulus?
Haha, I saw that and immediately thought of this conversation. Honestly don’t know. It seems like he had a change of heart after he was struck with COVID, maybe?
Man, I just go by feel when it comes to things like these. I can’t articulate these things well because the guys who taught me how to lift basically said the same thing. But I had the advantage of watching them train and someone placing his hands on the target muscle I was having trouble with while shouting mental cues at me. It’s why I always tell people to just find muscular guys in the gym and train with them.
It takes some time to figure out but once the idea really “pops” into your head, progress will be pretty fast.
Maybe a couple of mental cues:
“Pull” your delts towards the weights or “push them downwards” instead of thinking about pulling the weights up. It’s kinda like some people visualize themselves pushing themselves away from the bar when benching instead of pushing the bar away from them.
When I do back exercises like pulldowns, I always think of pulling my lats towards the bar, not pulling the bar down. It makes a big difference to me.
Any suggestions for decent brands? The EliteFTS ones are quality for sure, but money is tight right now. I plan to repay them in the future by getting a squat rack from them when money is stable though
