Hopefully! I can definitely understand that, and it’s probably a good thing we’ve only been training with a power bar. It just felt really weird being able to pull that much more slack out of the bar and essentially starting the pull a good inch or two higher. I guess it didn’t really hinder me so I shouldn’t worry about it.

Went fairly well. 645 is a good starting point. I wont be doing a meet until next year but I’d like to hit 700 in November. Need to make sure my bar position doesn’t creep up too high, set it a little lower on the 645 set and it went better.
Obviously not to depth, this was my first time free squatting in a suit with the straps up so I really wasn’t sure how it would go. I’m fairly pleased with my position at the bottom though. All my mobility work looks like it is paying off, my right knee looks like it was a little more in than my left though. It looks like I can just be patient and sink a little more to depth next time. Also I need to hold it a little longer after the unrack, looks like I rush my descent.
Big Kyle’s depth looked pretty good while spotting you.

Nice! Right now the plan is to do a geared meet early next year, possibly the Omaha meet in February again then maybe upa nats in april. Haha I will most definitely not be 242 by then, I’d like to be real close to 220 by then. Walking around about 205-210 now. What kind of shirt? Are you planning on doing a geared meet sometime?

Yeah, I think I would like to do a geared meet sometime, but I am not sure when or where yet. The shirt is an older Titan single ply, but it fits and is pretty forgiving. Mostly if I lift in gear I want to make sure I get a lift in on bench, squat and deadlift should take care of themselves. I’d be happy with a 1700 - 1800 total or so, but training may be difficult to work out as time may be in short supply for me after labor day.

Nice, are you getting better at using the suit? Or are you just that much stronger?
Technique is miles ahead of where it used to be, everything seems to be clicking right now. I’m getting in a solid enough position at the start where the lockout is definitely the easiest part, mobility and ab work has helped a bunch with that. I am liking the jack to pull in as well, only the second time I’ve pulled in it so we’ll see.

BW down a little, briefs were kina loose so the squats moved kinda slower than I would’ve liked. Big kyle had a great day, he hit 555x2 against the bands.
