Well thats it for heavy stuff until the meet. Next week will be a lot of rolling, stretching, and some light shenanigans. Feeling as prepared as I can be so the meet should go well!
So I guess I can’t complain with how the meet went, pr’s on squat, bench, dead, and 100lb total pr. Technique was terrible all day long. But had a great time anyways! Got to watch marshall johnson put up some insane numbers, eric lillibridge as well. Now I’m ready to get in gear (literally and figuratively) and try a full power equipped meet next.
But what numbers did you hit??? It’s not in the video or vid description!

Obviously wanted to go higher on squat, got out of the groove on my third bench or else I think I should have been able to grind it out, and my opener on deads went so shitty I dropped my 2nd for just a small pr rather than taking 600 like I planned then 617 for a 3xBW.

That 600 flew up! 617 is right around the corner for sure. Was it a proper deadlift bar? Man I miss a real dl bar.

There’s one at my gym! Come visit and we’ll pull. Sidenote: One of the guys I am training with now (mid 700’s deadlifter) mentioned that he did not like training with the DL bar as he felt it impacted his power off the floor.

Tested out a new shirt. Tried to keep it light but I wasn’t feeling too bad. I think I got 315 to touch the 2 board on the 3rd rep. All reps moved pretty easy.
