Just figured I’d ask if anyone else has experienced this…
After wrapping my knees I recently had what felt like a MAJOR spasm of my tibialis anterior and have had significant trouble with sort of dorsiflexion. Also, I had some fairly significant bruising and swelling on the top of my foot. When there are no knee wraps there is no pain or problem so I am trying to figure out how the knee wraps caused this.
I hate seeing questions go un-answered, so Ill give it a shot.
No, I have never experinced this before. I do know that when I use my Inzer True Blacks, my feet tend to fall asleep in a matter of minutes, and yes they do hurt my knees, but nothing to your extent. Do you normally use wraps? Do you prefer them as tight as possible? Has it only happened the one time?
Sorry I couldnt be of more help. Maybe a bump to the top will help to get someone on here who knows what they are talking about
I also have never heard of this, even with extremely tight 3m wraps. If anything, some guys get a lot of pain in their calves if the wrap goes too low. That and of course skin irritation when the wraps are cranked.
The issue you describe seems like it would be more of an issue with your shoes?
Was there a period of time when the wraps were on for an extended period of time or more frequently used? Could be some soft tissue damage/bruising. Also the restriction of blood flow and return can cause possible compartment syndrome like symptoms.
