its Ok someone just pulled the fire alarm…

during the 405 set I smelled smoke… looked around the 5 other people are oblivious…

I see maintenance type guy running around and he is like Yeah a towel caught on fire.

During the first set of 425 3 or 4 firemen walk thru the gym to go to the pool…
and all kind of laugh at me
loud.

I realized that somehow the gym had filled with some smoke - and Im rapping with DMX going for broke for a triple.

duh.

It’s only because:
a.) those sick f’ers train with burning towels in their firehouse gym too.
b.) they were jealous they couldn’t get a full workout in before the fire alarm rang about a smoking towel.
c.) they were already high from poisonous toxic towel fumes.
d.) they assume all of the NYC gyms use fake 45lb plates except for their own firehouse gym
e.) all of the above.

Face pulls at the begining - great.
hanging leg raises- I think at this point I can rock 20 or so- so its more for releasing the low back then for abs.

See I hid some pressing in there. 100’s felt heavy needs work.
I think I can do 4 plates ont the chest seated row- coming soon.
Kroc rows- felt ok I guess I should just go for rep Pr’s we only go up to 100 :frowning:

shoulder junk- I do the plate raises with bent arms- seems to work.

Another dude I train at similar times with - he is a pretty big dude- stopped incline pressing 315 in the
smith to help me wrangle the 100’s for floor presses.
that is a pain in the ass.

Y’know - something just occurred to me and it prob ain’t nothin’ but do you tote heavy stuff in your job? I seem to recall you carry around heavy lighting apparati. That sounds a situation for the biceps to become strong but the tris fall behind. Mebbe more triceps work (pushdowns and the like) for more volume might relieve the tendonitis in the pulling muscles. My elbows stopped hurting once a brought curls and chins back in, mebbe it works the other way round too.

Just a non-professional trainer thought.

The mental image of you deadlifting while the gym burned around you made me smile.

I will henceforth refer to this as “Nero training”. He fiddled, you deadlifted. Screw distractions. I love it.

That is too funny. Nothing like burning the whole place down to cover for lighting up a j. I guess he needed something to take the edge off of all the hard work that goes on at the pool.

High pulls suck in the morning - no grip strength
I am not a morining person, think that is changing surprise.
all the pulls/snatches, took only a few minutes,
OH presses felt good after pulls, still weak and shaky

pull ups - suck hard in the arm grip is non existent .

thinking that Tony’s comment on high rep tricep work helping bicepital tendonitis… its pretty sound
My forearms are as big as my upper arms so , we will see what this helps.

No sleep - two 10+ hour days of sitting not good.
zerchers are getting easier- but still need work
Huge pump from zerchers

found it hard to get the legs wide enough to get the elbows below knees.

Bulgarians kicked my ass first set was 50’s too much so it be 40’s
