Tank got handled? Give me details. How did it go?
Tank got knocked out in the first round, probably about a minute and a half. It would have been sooner if the ref didn’t stop the fight when Kimbo punched Tank in the back of the head the first time he went down. Kimbo has some pretty good boxing skills and I kind of expected Tank to try to take him down, which he didn’t do. But Tank was true to form and just stood there toe to toe and threw some wild punches until he got knwocked out.
what kind of punch knocked him out? upper cut or just a regular punch to the jaw or chin?

looking at related videos showed tank benching 600lbs wtf I would have never guessed that looking at his physique. Anyways that was like a boxing match more then MMA fight, how is kimbos ground game been tested so far? Not sure why he isn’t in boxing since that seems to be his strong point.
Also hits to back of head were really unfair match was lost after that hard to recover from it.
Match was crap, as expected. Tank should leave the UFC, as expected. Kimbo was in badass shape, as Bad Rutten told us we could expect.
P.S: My girlfriend, who watched the fight with me, even asked, confused, “is this MMA?”, because most of the match was a break. This “no back of the head striking” is getting ridiculous.
P.P.S: @benchpressophile- so what? Abbot would be a MUCH better fighter if he ditched stupid BP in favour of classic roadwork.

Huh?
That ref was horrendous.
Good for Kimbo… good fight, strong right hand.
Among UFC fights, the only ones I can watch are the standup brawls, so at least that was entertaining.
I watched the fight like 6 times. Kimbo knocked tank down numerous times. Kimbo’s reflexes are crisp it looked like every time he knocked him down with a punch he would stop throwing punches and wait for the perfect time to counter and connected hard. Tank looked really sluggish compared to him.

Terrible post.
-
Tank is not even in the UFC.
-
Striking to the back of the head is extremely dangerous. MMA is a sport not a street fight.
-
Tank is just a shit over the hill fighter who hasn’t won a fight since god knows when. He has never been known for his conditioning and hasn’t been anywhere near fighting shape for years.
Oh my God, Eves Edwards knee was sick.
I know he’s not in the UFC. I meant the MMA sport in general (you can call it a fraudian misspelling).
Of course strikes to the back of the head are dangerous. But one who turns away should at least get a point deduction. When you turn away more then one time, you should immediately lose.
And precisely because he’s an overweight shit fighter he shouldn’t (or: they shouldn’t let him) fight in the first place-because if you fight a pro who’s in top shape and you’re not, things get ugly (break!break!) and dangerous. And tha’s why a spectacle (MAIN EVENT? give me a break!)as this demotes the sport and caters to the bloodthirsty idiot crowd.
Holy crap, someone agrees with me?!?!

Yes it was!
The rest of the card was actually entertaining except the main event…
Hey I didn't catch it guys..
I figured Kimbo would slice and dice fat boys ass up and hand it to him though, lol…
Does anyone have a functional link to it?

crazy.
they need to give Kimbo someone decent to fight so he can prove himself to all the doubters. Brock Lesnar made his debut fighting a former champ, a good one, and almost had him. lets ssee Kimbo fight someone who isnt a retired boxer or MMA fighter from when the sport was shit.
Kimbo vs Brock Lesnar is what i want to see.
Kimbo vs Cro-cop…not that cro-cop is anywhere near his prime, i think the guy is on a total downward spiral but even still i think itd be a better fight than half the schmucks hes been vsing (kimbo)
The links to video sites lead to pages saying the video has been removed due to it being copyright material.
Anyone got a link that hasn’t been removed yet? (or better yet, one hosted in a foreign country that CAN’T be removed, fucking copyright).
I don’t think you’ll be able to see it unless it comes on tv now. Good thing I saw it when it first came up. Videos that are illegal on websites usually only stay up for a day then they are gone.

He’s still a couple fights away from jumping right up on to the top tier. He’s fought a couple of c level fighters, the right move would be to b-level competition for a couple of fights and then, assuming he’s able to win, a move up to a level. The dude has been training mma for just over a year. There is such a thing as progression when you’re getting into a sport…giving him to cro cop or lesnar would be a pretty big mistake in my opinion. we haven’t even seen him go past the first couple minutes of a fight yet, not saying he’s not in great shape, but even guys in really good shape can gas if they’re put on their back and hit a few good times.
That said, he sure beat the hell out of Tank.
