Bas swears up and down that Kimbo trains his ass off and is the real deal, so I got the believe he might actually make a name for himself in MMA. I really want to see what his ground work is like. Which is why…
This fight with Tank is just another bone for Kimbo. Tank has been a big turd with a beard for awhile now, I really don’t think he poses much of a threat to anyone. Then again, does anyone know what Kimbo’s chin is like? That is if his beard is even penetrable.
Do we really have to suffer through Bill Goldberg’s nonsense again? I think Mike actually contributes more to commenting in a positive way than Bill.
Tank hasn’t been relevant in MMA for over a decade. He’s still popular, but really doesn’t pose a threat to Kimbo in this fight.

Tank always poses a threat to Nelmark somebody, but the odds of him doing so have declined over the years.
These days, you just have to protect yourself for the first two or three minutes until Tank gasses out, then you can tee off on him like an extra large heavy bag. I suspect that’s what we’ll see on Saturday. Kimbo will play it conservative until about midway through the first round waiting for Tank to gas, then he will mercilessly beat him down until the ref pulls him off of Tank at about the four minute mark.
Honestly, I want to see Tank get smashed into the ground. I have never watched a fighter more prone to continuing to hit a man as many times as he can once the fight has been called forcing the ref to literaly pull him off a already badly hurt opponent.
He is a cheap thug.
Fuck that guy. I hope he ends up in a wheelchair blowing in a straw.

And Kimbo is…?
The guy started as a brawler on the street crippling people.

I would state totally different. In fact, I am amazed you would post something like that.
You can find Kimbo’s fucking videos everywhere.
When he hits a man and knocks him down, even sans ref, instead of trying to kill him when he is down like Tank does, even in a sanctioned fight after it has been called, Kimbo stands back, gives quarter, and there are even clips of him basically shouting encouragement.
To me that is remarkable. I like Kimbo and hope he fucks Tank up.
i saw tank fight someone recently on Bodog or some shit…all their fights were fucking terrible but he really is just an out of shape mess, hes going to get slaughtered by Kimbo it isnt even close to a matchup. Kimbo just knocks dudes out and hes a fucking beast, guy looks like he could deadlift 900 lbs and bench 500, hes just a monster and with the right type of training he could do some good things.
he definately has a weakness on the ground but thats not Tank’s fortay…Tank was like Kimbo 10 years ago, hes just a stand up brawler, throwing heavy punches and eating them…which is exactly what Kimbo does, only much much better.

I’m pretty sure this guy wasn’t real happy after Kimbo blindsided him in the back of the head.

Dude. Congrats you managed to find a video that you think contradicts what I said.
They were still fighting when he did that. A ref wouldn’t have stopped it at that point and frankly I wouldn’t have backed down either because all it takes is a few seconds to recover and the guy is coming full force again. It is a fight, afterall. The point is notice Kimbo walked away when he hit the ground instead of piling on an obviousy fucked up opponent and pounding on him needlessly.
I don’t have time to play video games but if you do, search some Tank fights and you will see that a lot of the time he continues to strike full force after the call. That’s what I am referring to.
It’s just another cheese fight, a textbook ‘make-a-buck’ move by a fighting league, learned from the practices of organizations like the UFC probly.
I’m all for giving up and coming fighters a chance, but that is not what is going on here. Kimbo already had some hype. He got plenty of good training from Bas, granted, but he is by no means a veteran or proven. They are feeding him punching bags to build even more hype and sell even more tickets. Who was his first fight with? A retired boxer… His second fight was so bad it looked worked. Now he fights Tank Abbot, when was the last time he proved himself to be much of a professional fighter? He does have a name that will sell tickets. So Kimbo currently has two fights on his record, wow… I know guys at my gym who fight monthly if not more often and have been training for years. They barely make enough money to pay rent, but they could have a nearly undefeated record. Stuff like this makes a bad name for MMA.

I should hope so. Kimbo’s Youtube fights are basically bareknuckle boxing matches. Ground & pound is a major no-no.
I agree the guy fucked up by turning his back & walking away, but taking a free shot at the back of his head is bullshit.

I agree.
Tank is as dirty as they come, though to be fair, you have to remember that most of his transgressions came in the wild & crazy no holds barred days. Guys like Gordeau were kicking out teeth and gouging eyes, Royce was cranking on submissions long after the tap, Kerr was delivering the dreaded chin to the eye socket, and Coleman was headbutting the shit out of people.
Regardless, my point was not that Tank is a saint. He’s not. He has never been above fighting dirty if he can get away with it. My point was that Kimbo is not above it either.
