I have to laugh, I saw one kimbo video where kimbo was fighting two guys, one after the other. The title text read something like “Kimbo beats one 300Ib guy and then goes on to beat another…AMAZING!!!”
What the text did not say was that the two guys were obese fucks, who were probably never in a decent fight in their entire lives. Hilarious!! it was basically just kimbo just beating two morbidly fat shits who had no idea how to fight. And this shit is being passed off as high level street fighting?!!!

He has lots of experience, is a big guy and would most likely beat other amatuer boxers in my opinion. So hearing you say you would fancy your chances against him any day of the week makes me laugh so hard my stomach is hurting.

You seem to be touting kimbo as some great street fighter who has fought all the real tough guys in prison. Well, maybe he has been in fights with some tough guys, I dont know. But what I DO know, is that the guys that he fights in his videos are about the worst fighters you could ever come across. He fights fat fucks and guys with VERY limited experience…anyone who looks at these videos will know EXACTLY what I’m talking about.
You tell me one SINGLE fight that he has had where he has fought someone decent (street-decent or ring-decent)and also won. The answer is that he has NEVER done this…at least not on video.
You can piss and moan about how he has “probably” fought all these tough street fighters in prison, but until I see proof of that, I will assess him by the videos he posts on the net of him fighting. THe only half-decent fighter he fought was gannon, and he lost. Gannon had limited skills as a stand up fighter, but he still fought Kimbo stand up, and he WON!!

If you want to give me a single shred of evidence of this guy being anything but a mediocre street-fighter (a big guy who know how to throw his fists), then feel free to do so. But I have a strong feeling that the only evidence you have of his fighting abilities are these videos of his…which, as I said, show nothing but shit of his fighting abilities.
He’s been in jail… so fuckin what!! So have plenty of people, but that doesnt make them good fighters. Show me the evidence of him being a good fighter in any sense…please. He may be a half-decent fighter, but he is not a good fighter…unless by good you mean mediocre.
As for my assesment that I would fancy my chances against him, I stand by that statement. yes, he’s a tough guy, and he is good enough to beat most guys off the street…but I’ve fought for years and stepped into the ring for 40+ fights…been in a few street fights too, so dont try the “street fights are completely different” shit.
I’ve done MMA for the past 2 years also, although I have not yet fought MMA. I’ve also seen all of Kimbo’s fights and I see no reason to beleieve that I would not stand a fair chance against him. Not saying I’d waste him…he’s a big dude who hits reasonably hard and looks like he’d be hard to knock out…(good neck, big chin under the beard), but I’d have a good chance.
I dont like to sound like I’m boasting, because I’m not. I’m not an amazing fighter, but neither is Kimbo. I too would get wasted if I came up against a pro-HW, or fought in UFC.
I agree that Kimbo could beat “most guys”, or has probably fought tough guys in prison. But most guys are not fighters and just because you are a tought as hell convict, this doesnt equate to you being a good fighter.
Being a tough SOB doesnt make you a good fighter. It is an ASPECT of being a good fighter…and it certainly helps you become a good fighter… but it does not make you one. I’m sure some of the guys Kimbo fought in his videos were tough in the sense that they had done time, been on the street for most their lives, but as you can see it doesnt make them good fighters.
