That right there is proof that he is not too young to get his kicked in.
I know. But Mom and Dad don’t like us fighting (they got worried when I joined the MMA Club up at Stony Brook), so he thinks he can kick my ass. We take Tae Kwon Do and I’m a Black Belt, he isn’t and hasn’t gone since I left for college. I lift, and he doesn’t. I hold both of those over his head by saying “Are YOU a Black Belt? How much can YOU lift?” His reply? To the latter: your exercises are unnatural (free weight lifting). To the former: I have the heart of the warrior! SCREW GTA, KINGDOM HEARTS IN FUCKING UP OUR CHILDREN MORE.
hey hey hey, lets leave KH out of this.
Whoa guys… I seriously agree here…
Although I must say upon personal observation that all these Emo skinny kids generally lie in the party crowd, the ones who follow pop culture like its all that matters.
Rest of the student population is mostly fat… which is not cool either cos most of them act whiney and girl in another way.
The only manly men left are few and far in between… including most of the varsity folks.
And yes I believe is purely because of the lifestyle we lead, and the influence of over ‘liberal’ parents.
Every generation thinks that the one immediately following it is comprised of completely worthless slackers/hippies/wimps/etc. who are going to let the country fall to whoever the threat of the day is. You guys sound like a bunch of grumpy old men - get over yourselves. Believe it or not, not everyone shares your vision of a healthy body at 5’9, 250lbs. Some people are happy to be fit and trim. Don’t begrudge them a healthy lifestyle because YOU don’t think they’re big enough.
Yeah the emo kids are ridiculous, but they comprise a small percentage of the population. Besides, every generation is going to have its outcasts who you look at and just say “wtf?” There are plenty of normal kids out there. You just don’t see them because they’re at school, or work, or at baseball practice. You see the emo and goth crowds hanging out around Starbucks and decide “OH MY GOD LOOK AT TODAY’S KIDS! AN ENTIRE GENERATION OF LOSERS!”
Everyone take a deep breath and relax. There are plenty of bright, athletic, strong kids out there who don’t wear tight black pants and cry while they stand outside waiting for the Dashboard Confessional show.

I know no girls that think guys with some muscle looks good, but instead they dig the skinny guys with strange hair and talk about how hot the guys with them long, filthy hippie-hair is (but then again I have only seen like 5 teens with some decent size in my town with 5.000 people). I hope that change when I grow up.
Even the boys at partys is beginning to kiss eachother. It’s damn gross, I tell ya. And they aren’t even gays, they just want girls attantion (and the girls think it’s hot. ARRGH!!!)
WTF kind of party is that?
Get big or lift large!
Damn you old guys need to catch up on your afternoon naps. There is some serious exaggeration and generalization and… dare I say… angst (ohh the irony) in this thread.
It isn’t any better to be a super stereotypical he-man than it is to be a super stereotypical emo kid.
Sure I get a kick out of messing with my emo friends once in a while, but I really don’t give a crap about their style, the best though is attacking a friend of mine with a hand full of napikins after he leaves his house wearing make up.
You know men were wearing skin tight clothes, girdles, make up, and wigs 250 years ago right? Is it so strange that style, fashion, ideals, music change?
I mean shit, I love lifting weights, really damn heavy weights, but someone who isn’t into that is still a man.
I like Dashboard Confessional asswipes
I also like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Led Zepplin, Biggie, and Tupac.
Seriously all of you should go out and maybe Gasp talk to some of these pussy emo wimps you fear/despise so much?
It is pretty easy, and lame to embrace one stereotype while making fun of another.
For what it’s worth. I am 18 6’0" 265 29% BF 275 Bench 405 Squat 450 DL and have been in an assload of fights, am I “manly” enough? better yet, do I give a shit? You decide
I am a full time musician. I have very long hair, a lengthy beard and I lift weights.
I think I look good. I’m muscular and have a low % of body fat, though not too low either.
Even though my abs are defined and all… People still confuse muscle with fat.
Oh look, that man is big, he must be fat…
Well, the difference is, fat doesn’t flex into a rock hard substance that will kick your ass.
In conclusion, I hate emo kids.
I don’t really care what other people do or think. I’m following the natural process of evolution. Being the MAN a MAN is supposed to be.
Fk shaving. Fk diets. Eat. Be strong. Get stronger.

Thats why I am baffled: How is someone who looks like a MAN confused with an out of shape fat guy?? This hurts my brain.
Etymology
Abbreviation of emotional.
Noun
Singular emo
Plural countable and uncountable; emos
emo (countable and uncountable; plural emos)
So basically this EMO crap is a synonym for PUSSY. There is nothing that inherently defines it but kids seem to create / recreate meaning for it

I’d say you do give a shit … otherwise you wouldn’t have posted anything. Other than that it was a very compelling argument. Have a good day cutting yourself.

You hit the nail on the head. I’m not going to lie, there are some songs by “emo bands” that I like, they’re catchy, decent music … but all in all I miss the alienated, rage punk bands instead of these over emotional cut myself emo bands. LONG LIVE THE MISFITS
Don’t worry, guys, not all young men are candy-ass nancy boys. My twin sons are 18, about to graduate high school, and are on the rugby team. The coach has them training hard in the weight room. If you don’t have muscle, you’ll get run over…hard. I have yet to see an Emo kid who plays contact sports.
And yeah, I have to beat the girls off them with a baseball bat.

I’d rather use an Axe any day of the week…

Because that quote was so bad I forgot about the Deca part. He takes Deca but only runs!?!?!? RUNS??? What the hell is that?
Thats worse than my wuss nephews. Why take steroids but refuse to lift weights?
Plus Deca is a waste of time anyway.
I’m a girl but I have some comments right in line with the guys here. I had to join a commercial gym because its too damn HOT in Arizona to lift in my garage (we have a full gym
during the summer months.
Last night was high school night at the gym, or at least it MUST have been. There were 3 guys standing around near the cable talking about getting big by using HGH.
Hello? WTF, how about you move your skinny ass aside so I can use the lat pulldown and low row. Seriously, kids were between 17 and 20 and talking about how “easy” it would be for them to get big that way.
THEN… I look more closely and all 3 of these pussified chumps have necklaces on. Not just a gold chain… but the hemp/rope and sea shell kind. I swear, I felt like I was shopping at mall not lifting at the gym.
Sorry, rant over.
Well, being that I just turned 20, I have grown up in the midst of all this shit
I go to a liberal arts university and lets just say, this is about 75% of the guys there
To be honest, I think alot of this has to do with women. I mean, every time I go to a pool or something with my friends, its like, “ew, chest hair, you’re gross” or “Hey Schwarzenegger, lay off the roids” or just women in general talking about how gross “big guys”, very muscular ones, look.
If you let mainstream society get to you, then yep, you’ll fall into the metro-gender extinguished cycle. Funny part is, 90% of society says homosexual marriage is wrong because nature needs a man and a woman. FUCKING act like it.

Didn’t you know? Steroids make you big without you having to do any actual work.
Plus this dude works at a bar and gets shit-faced 6 out of 7 nights a week.

This is why steroids should be prescribed and monitored by doctors.
I think its ok to care about your appearance and what you wear and how it looks on your body…thats cool…but one thing I realized…going to the gym to NOT “gain muscle” (in the context described in the first post) is just useless and a waste of gym dues.
I understand that not everyone wants to look like Mr Olympia, and thats cool. I know I dont. But I dont want to look like Tyler Durden either.
To me…this is the perfect physique…
