Kevin Levrone Comeback?

just saw this…this guy is probably my favourite BB ever, would be crazy to see him contest ready again.

Levrone’s one of my all time favorites, but I won’t believe it until I see it. He’s been teasing a comeback ever since he started his web site and supplement line.

I like the spirit of what he is doing on the web. Some good tips and generally interesting videos.

Supplement line - Jury is out on this one. I generally do not trust anyone who sells supplements, but you never know. What are the review like?

He certainly enjoys training. Would be good to see him compete again, but perhaps the level will need to be considered.

why is levrone such a big name? Never really hear of him other than from fans, whereas with the likes the of ronnie or an arnold, everyone know thats face.
Just curious, not trying to piss anyone off or say hes not good, just seems like theres an immense ‘cult’ support for him and curious as to why.

Kev is one of the few guys who played the mass game, yet maintained a stunningly beautiful physique.

Yeah, I’d love to see him return, but as Stu said, it’s almost to the point of crying wolf by now.

I’ll believe it when I see it. And frankly, as far as comebacks go, I’d rather see Kev return before Ronnie.

Kev also had some of the best genetics ever, in terms of maintaining his shape while packing on size, and even his famous ‘growing into a contest’ approach. So if any of the beasts from the 90’s could theoretically pull off a comeback, I’d say it’s him. Still, I’m not putting money down on this actually happening.

Levrone is awesome, I would love to see him come back! Correct me if I’m wrong but did he not invent that angled most muscular pose with the hands clasped?

uh, maybe cause they won several olympias haha?

the 90’s seems to be the era of unsung heros and uncrowned mr olympias (flex, leverone, sonbaty and shawn ray i.m.o)

sorry i didnt know, thanks for all the answers though, its hard for me to judge physiques at that level and seperate all of them.

Boom. Bignate, he was definitely one of the guys who, imo, deserved more fame than he got. As has been mentioned, despite being one of the heaviest guys at competition weight, he had a physique where the last word you would think of was “blocky”…so basically the opposite of markus ruhl.

x2, guy is considered the uncrowned mr olympia for a reason

I’ve had this video on my Ipod for the last several years, and it always just fires me up. You can see in several of the clips how his physique evolved, from early pro career, to the beast that really went toe to toe with Coleman in 2000.

I have to keep reminding myself to pronounce that final “e” on his name.

He thinks he can take out Dexter without having trained for 8 years? I understand his point about taking a break and coming back “refreshed”… But there is much more to be said for laying down that foundation and muscle maturity for 8 years. Dexter has been one of the best in the world for a LONG time now.

I’m assuming he is going to go on gallons of sauce of decides to make a true, Olympia worthy come back. I know we are talking about Levrone here… But even he cant roll with the likes of Dexter Jackson staying natural and only giving himself 6 months. Its not like Dexter would show up sloppy. Hell, might even motivate him to be the best he has ever been.

awesome video…
not alot of people know this, but kevin was one of the strongest IFBB benchers ever .his tricep/shoulder strength was insane (500 bench for reps, probably had like a 575-600 raw bench in his prime, 405 shoulder press)

+1, just dont see it happening naturally… its absurd.

but he did train hard naturally when he started his Levrone Report , and added shitload of muscle in like 6 months, benching 405 for reps after not touching a weight for 4 years. so the crazy genetics is still there. would be cool to see him use what HE NEEDS to use in order to grow into this show.

Yeah, he made a pretty amazing transformation at the beginning of his Blog… But he didnt end up anywhere NEAR IFBB pro status. Much less Dexter Jacksons level.

He’s been doing that blog for a while now, presumably training very hard and eating well the entire time and he still isnt anywhere near where he would need to be. Knowing what I know now, his growing-into-the-show “phenomenon” was likely that he stopped training and doing drugs for a while, then started everything back up to prep for the show.

Well, if the only difference is the addition of PEDs, then it’s all going to come down to how good his genetics are in his 40’s, combined with if he has enough time before the show to grow close to competitive dimensions.

I’d love to see it,… but again, I don’t see him following through on this. His initial ‘transformation’ was to hype his new site and supplement line.
