Those are some heavy ass Rack Pulls, great work.
I personally love this forum, and you will be making some great gains. I am getting close to jumping to the 531 club but it might take a while. I am known for doing stupid things in the gym. I’am 52 and my training partners have tried to weed me off of it. Old Powerlifters never die though. Anyway welcme aboard.

Colin I just want to ask why you are doing so much volume on the boards?
In fact all of your work is volume in this workout. Get strong!
I go triples and doubles on boards and in a shirt. I know that it makes you stronger. Do you want to be strong? If you are really new and need some sort of base ok then but if you want to get strong in the 3 big lifts you can’t play like that or play it safe if you have been training for about a yr.

Thanks Joe. My grip is not where it should be though, as it was super tough on my hands.

Thanks.
As for the board benching, I did more than my program asked for, however, it was good, to hold the weight in my hands, as i do not do anykind of ME and max out usually once ever 5 weeks or so.
July 27 (w3/d2)
wu 10mins bike
seated row 4x8
Sumo Deadlifts 395x3x3 (80%) 415x3x3 (85%)
Pyramid Bench (50-85%)
Platform Sumo Speed Deads (70%) 345x4x1
band gm 3x12
band pullaparts 3x15
Terrible deadlift day. The weight all felt heavy and I was so slow. Glad its over.
@Big Bencher - Were you talking to me about my work outs over in my log or talking to Scott abouot his volume in this log?
LOL…dazed and confused…Because I do allot of volume as well…
July 29 (w3d3)
pulldowns 5x7
Power Rack Squats (partials 9th hole) 545x3x3 565x3x3
Speed Bench (no bands today) (60%) 215x9x3
Full Paused Squats 275x4x4
lying leg curl (run the rack) 10x5
You’re strong as hell Scott. Great training.
Looking good scott
When you are doing the partials are you counting from the bottom or top ? What the hell did I ask that for like I know what kind of rack your in.
Okay on your partials how low are you descending?
I also do these and using the Andersen Pin Press Principle-- dropping 1 hole every month (or trying too).
Great job here.
BTW what program are you following ?

Okay for the partials, I count from the bottom. If I move down a hole, Ill be at parallel (which btw, I will be doing soon). I keep it above parallel right now, for the simple fact, that I want my back/legs to get used to the heavier weight. I have also found it has helped me, when doing me full power squats.
The program I follow is based off of a Sheiko Template. I believe back on the 2nd page of this , I listed the basics of the routine. Thanks.
How are you doing your band flies?
Good work in here! Sheiko is fun. I mean, who doesn’t love pyramid benching?

Band flies I one of two ways. Either lying on the bench and just pulling them apart in a “fly” motion, or I do them stading, with the band behind my back and each end in my hand and I do it, almost peck deck like.

Thanks. To be honest I love the pyramid benching. I usually wait about 30s each set and just band them out. Sorta like cardio session for me , haha.
There are lots and lots of big numbers floating around in here. Great work.

Thank you. I am in love with trying to get strong. My only regret is I did not try when I was in my 20’s. I wasted all my time goin for the “beach” look. Though I still maintain a beach look, this is more of a whale stuck a shore, haha.
