sfp was making a physics geek joke. Planck was a physicist:

and he was busting himself because Plank’s length

is so small it means he can’t move the bar.

Really glad you’re back.

Thanks for the warm welcome back guys I appreaciate it!

Oh And YAY I get to eat something today!!!

Ok first off let me apologize to everyone for just disappearing. I had a pretty rough winter with getting sick and then I just lost interest in going to the gym. I started playing WoW instead of training and it consumed my life for about 2 months. What was I going to post in my log book? “Got a level 80 Warlock and new set item today, didn’t feel like lifting” LOL I knew I would catch major shit!

No kidding. You had time to get a 'lock to 80 before the nerf bat hit?!

Which server?

I should have taken measurements last week when I started so here it is a week late. I did take pics but I didn’t look at them they are still in the camera. Had a big Chef salad with grilled chicken breast and a cup of brown rice last night. It was heaven to get some different taste in my mouth. So far no problems with hunger just cravings for savory or salty tastes. Thinking about picking up some salt tabs!

LOL ya, I rolled Hoard on Bloodhoof. I can’t wait for the patch I heard they are buffing Affliction locks. Maybe I can climb back to the top of the DPS meters for a change!

I for one am happy to see you back!!!

Besides the eating and measurements I have no idea what you guys are talking about. But it’s cool. Reese Hoffa, great shot putter, is a WOW fanatic so it must an acceptable manly passtime.

Art, I read on Heavy’s thread about your thoughts on getting old and declining strentgh. It was a very interesting and enlightening read. Very eye opening for me as well to realize that you can’t just keep abusing our bodies becuase at some point we have to pay. I think that is why I am doing this losing weight thing. A way to rehab and get healthy without having to worry about missing a deadlift. But you know it is in the back of my mind that I will heal, get healthy, and then start lifting heavy again. I can’t help it it’s just there!

Chief don’t worry about WoW I wouldn’t want anyone to get sucked into the time waster that that dam game is! I just can’t give it up…

19 March

I got real dizzy last night. I figured my elctrolytes must be out of whack. Took some Potassium tabs, drank and Gatoraide, and went to bed.

I am following the trianing outlines in the V3 diet but I mix up things I want to do. I really have never found anything useful about overhead squats. So I follow the princlples but switch my own movements. as many as I can get until form breaks down then 30 second rest go again. Rinse & repeat

Pull ups (Purple band assit)
15, 12, 8, 5

Incline BP (These still hurt my shoulder but I can get through them becuase they are so light)
135 x 27, 13

Chest supported rows 4 plates
12, 10, 8, 10, 10

Close grip Bemch
135x 15, 12, 10, 8, 2

CLose grip Curls 100
12, 10, 10, 8

Leg raises, sit ups, one leg stands.

From what I know the Vdiet is hard,
and the weight your pushing looks good for being calorie restricted.

I like the OH squat- I use it to work on flexibility and as a gauge to see if I am
ok, if my shoulders are ok, or if my hips or quads are tight- but im a smaller dude then you, your a big guy OH squat is a hard position

I know - it’s my profession of choice and the result of all too many years of schooling…

Height = 6’2
Weight = 245
Neck = 17"
Shoulders = 25"
Chest - Upper = 50"
Chest - Lower = 47"
Waist - at Navel =44 3/4"

Hips - at largest = 46"
Upper Arm - L 16 3/4"

Lower Leg - L 16"
Lower Leg - R 16"
Ankle - L - 9 1/2"
Ankle - R - 9 1/2"

Leg measurements thrown off due to the squats. Was a little miffed about the scale weight until I took the measurements and my chest is noticabley tighter and my problem areas are a little smaller. So far so good. Today Steak salad, and brown rice! Can’t wait!!!

You’re in a good groove with the diet. Keep going!! Wish I had some of your will power with the food. Maybe some work with a sled may help the shoulder. Its all concentric work, no negative so its easier on the muscles/joints. I think theres an article under the rehab area on this site about it.

Weights comin off. Good workouts, too. I’m predicting speedos by mid summer. Keep it up.
