Just Wanted to Thank You Guys

like the title said I wanted to thank you guys.
I was very impressed today
havent measured myself or anything in several weeks.
I also havent been training how I should be because I dont have the means.
however I joined a commercial gym and they also gave me 6 months of nutri. counsling and personal training.

today was my inital appointment and heres the results.

keep in mind I joined this site a couple months ago.and I also started lifting and accepting your guys’ advice same time

lost almost 20lbs
gained a solid inch on arms
gained 2 in legs
waist droped 5 inches
now that I am someplace where I can do cardio and lift heavier I will no doubt progress faster and surprise myself even more

also they asked about my eating habits and I mentioned what I was trying to do and it was what I learned on here and the trainer was impressed and stated that she had learned those same habits only after attending school and I was about 3 steps ahead of what she wanted for me which was great.

also the exersizes she wanted me to do she said was near perfect form(again something I learned on here)
all she did was sit back and watch me perform and was pleased and surprised by the numbers I threw up for her.

again thank you all,you guys on here really know your stuff.

Haha! That’s great man. Feels good doesn’t it? Keep it up and in another 3-4 months you’ll look even better.

Give your self the pat on the back you did all the work, all we did was type =) keep it up

Congrats, just don’t get satisfied cause then you get stagnant.

Heh heh… just think, you’re now paying for something you already got for free.

Congrats on the progress so far. Sounds like you have a decent trainer and great facilities. Do you plan on continuing Stronglifts or moving on to something else?

not true…
I only could afford a simple bench and 170 pounds of weights it just wasnt enough.
now I can go and interact with people and do some decent cardio which I need badly.

also I have all the weight I want pools, saunas, hot tubs, girls.

minus the girls part.
I love going to there club thats over by arizona state university mmmmmmmm eye candy.

I am still going to be doing the stronglifts for 3 days a week. she also wrote me up a split type program with lighter weights and 2 sets of 12 reps and cardio for when I am not going heavy and it works with my stronglifts 5x5

shes supposed to have it finished for me on monday and I do lower body with her and I will post it up see what everyone thinks

I get 2 visits a month with this trainer because I already have the basics she dosent need to baby sit me she writes me up a program then she checks my form and whatnot then checks back with me in a little over 3 weeks and then measures me up and sits with me on a new set of goals.

but its 19 dollars a month and cant beat that I would pay as much in weights for the house anyways.

$19 a month whats that 24ish Australian dollars thats soooooo cheap i think im paying around $41 au a month and I don’t get the pool

ok guys I am putting down my progress

2-13-2008 started with 50 pounds all the way around on a basic starting strength type program
heaviest first week on
2-24-2008 was

100 lbs
dead lift 4x5
bench 3x5
bb row 3x5
squats 1x5

measurments as of 3-2-20008 was
neck 18"
chest 49"
arms 18"
waist at belly button 52"
natural waist 46"
legs 22"
calvs 19"
291 pounds 34%bf

today is
minor disapointmenmts like the scale at the first club I was at being off to apease the people make them think there lighter than they are

bw 287

neck 17"
chest 48 1/2
waist 51"
natural waist “hips” 46"
theighs 25"
calves 19"

lift numbers
freeweight
deadlift 250 5x5
bench 140 5x5

machine work
chest press 3 rep max 160
standing calf raises 3x15 315 (hope i am writing this right lol its 3 sets of 15)
machine dips 15x5 160

using the same inaccurate online calculator it says
You have 27.5% body fat.

which at the club she did caliper me and said I was right around 26%
I noticed in 2 months I stayed the same weight and about the same size but the body fat went down my legs are getting really strong though I think because of the lifting and also because of the body weight I do have, its not easy pushing around 300 pounds of fat all day.

now a new goal,I can either diet down and not worry about any muscle loss and get lighter or I can keep doing what I am doing and get stronger and not worry about my weight.

I am stuck in the middle
I eat tons more than I ever did and I am stronger than I was and people see a change
what is your guys opinion

I just added up the weight and stuff and I lost about 17-18 pounds of fat and gained about 15 pounds muscle and that cant really be I dont see it.
I guess thats newbie gains for ya.

fuck the scales man…

i don’t care if i still weigh the same. hell i’d be a MONSTER if i could get down to 10-12% bodyfat at my current weight.

the bf % is all that matters, well… that and how many plates are on that deadlift bar.

based on my dad and the fact that we have similar skeletal frames & musculature, i’ll likely be 200 pounds when i hit 10% bf
