That approach sounds like it makes a ton of sense once you have a decent idea of what kinda weights you should be working with each week.
When did you last front squat? I remember you used to do it as your main squat move, what prompted the switch?[/quote]
4, maybe 5 months?
Progression was too slow for my liking and box squats seem to be friendlier on my back…also cause they are a pain in the fucking ass to do.
Spent 8-10 hours of each day this week logging and presenting my research results to get ahead on my dissertation, crazy amount of coursework right now. However, that chapter is now in the bag.
Probably won’t be training until the 10th as that’s when I aim to have other coursework essays and the following diss chapter done.

I was kinda wondering when your log dropped off the first page.

So after my 2 week lay off i’m ready to get back at it. However, some stuff has changed…
I’m cutting/leaning up/no longer being fat come tomorrow.
I’m doing 15 mins of kettlebell circuits in the AM, 5 times per week followed by ab and neck work.
Still doing 5/3/1 with accessories and an arm day.
My reason is I am a whole stone+ heavier (14lbs+) than I was before the last cut with same level if not less levels of fat. Yet I do not enjoy being this level of smoothness.
In line with this I hope I am roughly 168lbs-174lbs when I get to a leanness level of my avatar as that will be about 5lbs heavier.
My thoughts are if I can maintain the strength I have built since July I can completely exploit the weight gain preceding my cut to reap the gains and push up my lifts as well as gain LBM. Possibly continue this cycle if it works (cut/gain until 10-15lbs heavier than last top weight/cut/repeat).
Having my first holiday in June since 2012 so I want to look like my attached pic, motherfukaaaa.
For lent I’m tracking macros every day in the hopes that I’ll make slightly better choices as a result. Which basically means that I’m unofficially racing you to an arbitrary level of aesthetics brah.

You shall fail, aesthetic potential is directly associated with the amount of weight one can press above their head ;).
