Just. Don't. Suck (Part 1)

Thanks, everyone! I might’ve sabotaged my gains by drinking 9 beers at a pool party this afternoon but it was fun. I even got in some exercise playing 4 on 4 basketball in pool.

Now it’s time to eat and send some food to my gut to soak up this beer. I’m still under my calories for the day.

Woke at 238.8 lbs. Just as I expected, I’m sore AF today. A week off between leg sessions left me fresh but it definitely set me up for some soreness. It’s also draining my energy.

We’re about to head to the park as a family so the kids can have some fun before it gets too hot. I’m forcing myself to go just to get off my butt. I’d rather not move though.

@Chris_Colucci my phone screen has looked this for awhile. It’s difficult to hit the generic REPLY button. Any ideas?

Not sure. Maybe the screen is zoomed in and throwing off the scale or whatnot, especially if it’s only been a recent issue. I’ll see if it’s a problem on the site’s end just in case. If so, I’ll let the tech guys know about it.

Mine does that too, turn the phone 90 degree, work for me

Woke at 239.6 lbs.

Today will be my final check-in for the T-ransformation Challenge. I gotta say, the results are underwhelming… meh.

I think I need to find a new place to take pics of myself. We got a new dresser and moved our old one to my son’s room. The new dresser is short so the photo was looking up at me. I used his room and the lighting is way different. I can’t possibly be more pale now since it’s spring/summer and my before pics were in the dead of winter.

Just a reminder, I was 12 days post op from my hip surgery in my before pics.

Where the hell am I hiding 18 extra lbs? I’m waiting till I finish my current program to take measurements. I’ll probably do a review on CT’s forum.

@Chris_Colucci here ya go. Let me know if you’d prefer a single after photo so you can do your own editing and side by side. As you can see, I’ve done nothing to flatter myself lol!

You’re carrying that extra weight really nicely man. Abs got a bit more blurry, which I know is a concern for you, but it’s a barely noticeable difference (in photos at least).

Your back and profile shots are looking much thicker as well.

Thanks, Velvet! It’s strange; all these years I’ve been concerned about my abs and I throw this up and I can barely notice a difference. Yes, the abs are mostly gone, but when I’m standing relaxed the difference isn’t nearly as drastic as I think it is.

These after photos are after my oatmeal and a cup of water. I took my first ones upon waking but the angle was bad for a side by side comparison.

The before pics I have had your face smiley’d over, so that’s up to you. No problem either way.

Solid work anyhow.

Yeah, I hid my face but I figured there are enough other pics and vids on my log that it doesn’t matter. If you want anonymity then you could just cut off my head!

Thanks!

Shoulders, upper chest, neck, your forearms for sure, and - no homo - dat ass

Oh, and your back is definitely thicker too

You put them just about everywhere Big J.
I think chest, back, traps… Did I say Back.
And thicker too, it suits you man.

I would have been a fat arse putting on 18 pounds in just 5 month.

Thanks for the feedback @losthog , @mortdk , and @flappinit! It’s tough to notice changes when you see yourself every day (and you beat yourself up a lot).

This encourages me to stay the course and keep growing!

I think the extra weight suits you! Good job…does your wife seriously consider that a belly? Rough!

Yes! She smirks when she looks at me shirtless. She gives me the wife talk of “I like the way you look” regardless of my weight or physique.

Thanks for the encouragement! I used to weigh 240 year round in college. It’s much more enjoyable eating at this weight!

Hey mate, just catching up on you thread again, damn it moves quick! Glad to see you are recovering well from the op and also wanted to say that you look a heap better at your weight now. I always thought you were a bit too concerned about your abs and we’re too skinny. Now you a filling out really well. Stick to it man and keep those gains coming!
