Just. Don't. Suck (Part 1)

:face_vomiting:

Still can’t force myself to enjoy beer, haha.

It turns out that I can use beer for fuel. I drank 6-8 of them and felt nothing. I think I just burned through it. I burned another 5500 calories today and I still have a bit before bed.

That’s partly because Busch Light is the beverage of choice for little girls at their tea parties.

Not to pile on, but drinking 6-8 of them and feeling nothing definitely has to do with you drinking a mixture of 98% water, 1% alcohol, and 1% bear urine.

Is that like bear mode and does it make you have 8% body fat :joy:

Busch Light is working beer. It’s refreshing on a hot day and/or while doing manual labor.

It’s no different than any other light American beer. No one drinks the darker beers when working in the sun. I don’t think Sam Adams would be very good at that moment - maybe their new Sam 76. And I’m definitely not drinking Stone IPAs.

Not a great defence of a beer, imo.

That said, beer snobbery is a peeve of mine. Anything works for refreshment/inebriation purposes if you drink the right amount of it.

Shoot, on a hot day, most anything works. But I’d choose a lot of watery American beers before that. Still - personal preference, of course. As he said, nobody’s drinking a heavy IPA in the sun. That’d just get you plastered.

The obvious solution is to stop working in the sun and just drink the heavy beers instead.

No, it’s not. Anyone who has drank some of the heavier beers knows America’s big boys make weak beer. But we also like to keep our calories low to make us feel better.

Busch Light has to be in bottles. The cans are garbage. I also enjoy Corona Light but that comes and goes in phases.

After a hard day in the sun, I think the watered down light beer is the only choice. It’s refreshing because it has a nice blend of watery refreshment combined with beer. And electrolytes. I’m told those are important.

They’re what plants crave.

I’m a Miller guy personally, but a lot of the breweries in town have been making lighter options than the usual 8-10% ass kickers you’d find there. I dig it, since I’ve been gravitating towards lighters beers these days.

I agree in principle. But literally just got done training, am sitting out in the sun with a pitch black 8% beer and loving it.

The weather drives my drinking choices. In the fall and winter, it’s always the heavy stuff. This year we really enjoyed Stone IPAs. The Fear Movie Lions was a favorite. It’s an 8.5% double IPA.

Light beer is the only choice if it’s hot, sunny and you need endurance. You’d be stupid to do otherwise.

My go-to is Coors Light. Something about that ice cold silver can. Crisp, refreshing.

There’s been many of rounds of golf that I’ve polished 18 cans in 18 holes drunk as a sailor. FUN

They don’t call them CL Smoothies for no reason!

If you want you can always try a saison. Originally it was refreshment for farm labourers, because beer was guaranteed to be clean unlike water.

It’s a nice beer, which doesn’t really taste much like beer. Somewhat salty and sour.

Still no training but this beast is officially done.

The monkey bars are about 6’ high right now. I left room to raise them as the kids grow. I should be able to get them to at least 8’ off the ground.

Great work. I like the huge size and sleek, non-kiddie look.
