That Koudour guy is amazing! What the hell is his vert?? My guess is a three step 55 from what I can tell.
It’s mostly natural. I caught my first dunk when I was 17 at about 5’7" and 125-130lbs. I had never done any jump/weight training and had only been playin for about 3yrs.
I’m now 5’10" and 172-ish. I’ve still never done any jump training and in all honesty I’m pretty lax in my leg training [meaning I’ll make excuses and only train my legs about 1/2 the time I train my upperbody].
That changes this year though as I’d like to get around 190 and add 3" to my true standing vert [up to a legit 38"]. Seeing as how I’ve been a pussy about training I think it’s very doable.
Ask around, there are some very knowledgable people on this site and I wouldn’t consider myself one of them, I just got lucky.
Yeah I’ll probably start the program Christian Thibaudeau wrote about…keep us posted on your numbers after you start your training
Since this is the “Jump” topic, I ask a quick question. Has anybody here used the Springbak Springsoles?
It is found here
http://www.jumpusa.com/springbak_insoles.html
It seems like it is a legit product and has plenty of scientific evidence to back it up. Plus, many top d-1 colleges use them for volleyball and basketball. So, anybody here have them or use them and what were your results?
Yeah, I’ve seen them and I’d be interested. I think I’d actually like to buy them myself and try them out because they aren’t all that expensive.
They look interesting (jump soles). I am always a little leary of the testimonials on a web site (hard to believe), but I think at the price of 30 bucks they may be worth some testing.
Does anyone have any experience with these?
It’s that sort of thinking that makes the companies rich!!!
