July Wedding - Help!

Hi all! I’m getting married at the end of July and wanted some input on how I can drop some quick bodyfat before the big day. Currently, I am 6’ tall, weigh 245lbs and have an approximate BMI of about 32%. It would be great if I could drop most of it via weight training, as I’m not the hugest fan of cardio work, although I do know the benifits of it.

It’s just that weight training for me is MUCH more enjoyable as feeling “the pump” is an awesome thing. I hear the one known as Disc Hoss knows quite a bit about this stuff, but I was also interested on what advice anyone else might have?

I will say this - again

The biggest factor in dropping body fat is DIET. You can run for miles and lift tons and it will do you little good in the body fat dept.

So–

Immediately drop all processed carbs.
Increase protein, good fats, and fiber.
Eat smaller meals–more often
Keep a food log to help gauge actual calories and portions
Drink a couple of cups of green tea a day
Little to no booze for the short term
Consume aprox 1oz of water for every pound of bodyweight.

Now you may feel free to incorporate any type of workout plan you choose.
Good luck–you’ll need to be very disciplined to see big results by July.

Spend June getting your act together with respect to diet and working out. Seriously take control of your nutrition!

After, and I do mean after, look into the Velocity Diet.

It will take a lot of disclipine and hard word, but you can make a significant change in your muscle and fat ever the course of nearly two months.

Get in the gym today, and get the membership. Do cardio or some shit today if you must. Monday, implement the 7 habits and practice form on the lifts you will soon be doing.

Monday night, read the T-Dawg diet, go shop for foods, and plan your schedule to fit three good workouts in a week. Wednesday, start your new workout in earnest.

On June 20th, purchase the things you’ll need to do the Velocity Diet. Start it on the 28th or so. Follow it exactly. Start returning to normal eating about a week before the wedding, even if it’s before the end of the dieting period!

Make it happen…

Okay, you don’t have to do exactly what I said, but it’s a recipe to get you going without having to work too hard figuring out what you should do.

Thanks for the advice Sasquatch. As far as being very disiplined goes, my beautiful and always loving fiance is making me wear a pink shirt to go with my grey sport-coat, pink man! If I can go through with that…well, lets just say I think I can “cowboy up” for this one. ;o)

The above advice is great. Ypu might also look up the Velocity Diet and go buy a bottle of HOT-ROX and a bottle of Alpha Male.
