Journey To a 700 Deadlift!

Good shit in here. Out of curiosity what is your training background prior to this log?[/quote]

When I was 13, I was 280#, and severely obese. My father had invited me to train with him. In 6-7 months, I was down to 185-190, and a lot stronger. I trained, not very seriously as a powerlifter/bodybuilder, kinda. I’ve only been really serious for a little over a year. Never played any sports before this. I’m just not a fan of team sports.

In reality… that’s a pretty cool story all the same

I turned 18 last month.

Ah, I’m 16.

Any goals besides a 700 dead? I see you’re squatting again.

Actually I haven’t deadlifted in 2 weeks, or squatted in 3. My other goals are:

315 Axle Clean/Press

Load the 215lb stone to my shoulders 10-15 times, unless they cast heavier ones

Front squat 495.

So far, those are goals. I really wanna join the exclusive 1000# deadlift club, be the first to axle press 500#, and so on.

Cool. What do the stones feel like?

Badass. If they were heavier, they’d be fucking gut-wrenching!

you are doing some sick shit in here, young man. keep it up.

are you in the race to 600 thread? you’d probably light a fire under some of the more experienced guys over there. pretty sure you’d be the youngest guy in the thread by 2-3 years.

I’ve also wanted to give them a try, but I’ve never been around any. I like picking stuff up lol.
