Journey To a 700 Deadlift!

Fun looking training as ever. Friggin sweet deadlifting. I felt a little dissapointed at 440 x 2 today… but then you do outweigh me by about 56 pounds…

No issue bro, you’re getting there.

And from the back

Looking wide as hell from the back! Is the one shoulder & lat being higher then the other a camera/posing issue or a structural one? Either way, doesn’y look too out of line and I am very impressed with that back. What do you attribute most of your lat width to? I’m assuming deadlifts for the general thickness?

I felt it was to high, which is why my waist was bent, unfortunately. I attribute the basics: Pullups, Rows, and Deads. I think Pullups really took my back to the next level, because for a while I was doing pulldowns, and when I decided not to be a pussy, my back exploded. I’m doing 18 inch deads/rack pulls from below the knee tmrw, btw. Probably will post a video. Going for 635 for 4.

Fair enough, I’m doing all the basics so sure it’s helping… I do pullups and pulldowns but pull-ups first in my sequencing which works well because I’m be maxing the lat pulldown soon enough anyway. Looking forward to seeing a vid of heavy ass rack pulls, always fun

10/30/11

Deadlifting:

18 Inch/Tire Deadlift: Worked up to 635x4. I felt I could have gotten 5 reps, but I hurt my upper back on that last rep. I think I pulled my middle traps. That just means I got 6 reps ready for next weak, than jump to 665 or 675.

Good Mornings: Worked up to 315x3.

Leg Extensions: Worked Up To the whole stack (280 I think), 2 45s, and 2 chains that are probably 10/15lb each. So 390-400#.

All in all, good day.

Wow. Very nice indeed, looked like it was a good 1-2 inches below the knee as well, very strong stuff man. The guy shouting ‘come on’ reminded me of Rockys trainer in the films, ha

11/4/11

Back/Chest:

Incline Bench: Worked up to 275x4.

Pullups.

Dips: Only got a 45 for 8 reps.

Incline Curl: 45x10.

Triceps.

Good workout.

11/8/11

Shoulders:

Seated Half Press (18 Pin): Worked Up To 230x6, Than 245x4 (I think).
SS
Pullups: Worked Up To 10 With A 25# Plate (280# Total).

Hammer Curls.
SS
Half Way Between JM Press And Bottom Start Triceps Extension: 135x6 For 7 sets.

Rear Delts.
